I would believe in Jesus only if he came out of the sky and touched my penis.Until that happens I'll keep reading the Satanic Bible because it actually makes more sense than the Holy Bible.

Yeah, all that stuff about casting spells and ritualistic prayer to demons is great. LaVey(sp?) Presents humanism with some compelling arguments in the book of Lucifer, but the rest is pure Christianity

They're all equally ridiculous in my mind. But I'm pretty sure I'm the only person I know IRL that doesn't believe in any form of a religious god. Jesus can fly through the sky, still wouldn't be proof to me, I saw Chris Angel levitating before, would be nothing more then magic tricks, and just because I can't explain how it was done, doesn't make it a miracle, in the same sense that just because I can't explain it, doesn't make it real magic when talking about magicians.
I'm not attacking religion or religious people either, most I know are amazing people, but I personally just can't buy any of it. Most of the people I've talked to about their faith basically admitted it's just nice to think this shithole isn't it and that they'll get to see their loved ones again, and believing it for those reasons is fair enough to me lol.

I like the way you've learned to deal with people like that SirShroomsAlott, but at the same time I feel people like this need to be told to back off because they're disrespecting you by trying to push their beliefs onto you. No, not all of them will try to convince you that they're right and they're just spewing off what they believe in. But many of them try to convert you constantly and it gets quite annoying. If you were to start saying what you belive to them they would take it as disrespect, but they see nothing wrong with doing it to you. Some of these people need to be put in their place and learn what to say and what not to say, as we have done exactly to appease them.

You can express that you are not going to subscribe to their beliefs without expressing your own beliefs.
When you start sharing your personal ideas, you gotta accept that the other party is going to share theirs. SOME religious people can't handle hearing others ideas without spouting their own because they find other's ideas threatening to their own. Some non-religious people feel this way too. It doesn't have to be that way if you're not weak minded. Likewise, some people don't know how to keep their ideas to themselves (on both sides).
I usually dictate a lot of feel good shit when I'm talking to religious people too "I really like how we can express our ideas, and both know we aren't trying to convince one another." "I really like how we can have separate beliefs, but can learn so much from one another." "That's a really good point! I guess I really don't know about the direct quote from the bible you're denying exists because it clashes with your denomination."
Then start sharing your ideas peacefully. They'll listen and take what they want just as you will. People just need to worry about changing people less.
