Noob Amanita question

Are there yellow Amanita's? Im aware of the classic Fly Agaric of course but other then that I basically know zilch regarding them. I was walking in the forest today & in the middle of the path I saw a mediocre sized mushroom (likely still growing) I pulled it out & notice all around the side of the cap are little mini yellow chunks? (they look like those on the Amanita Muscaria, only those caps seemed to filled with them all over) & the mushroom cap itself was colored yellow. The stem is probably only about 5/6 inches max & there is a little yellow ring near the top of the stem.
So it possible this yellow mushroom is a member of the Amanita family? if so does that mean its edible/psychoactive? The forest is basically in my backyard so I would be interested in going back & looking for more. Unfortunately I do not have a camera at the moment.. not one that I can plug into my laptop atleast. I will try & borrow one & take a picture for you guys if necessary. though it may just get completely dried up & crunchy by that point & perhaps if I had not pulled it & allowed it too grow longer there would be more of the little chunks for serious lack of a better word.
Thanks for taking your time with this noob question!
Edit: My location is also in Quebec, Canada. If that helps at all..

I think its possible if they've been in direct sunlight too long, but I don't recall ever seeing a yellow 'strain' of them though.

There are deadly toxic species in the genus Amanita that might fit that description, but Amanita muscaria var. guessowii seems likely. Pics are necessary for an accurate ID, and a good shot of the carefully dug up stem base is particularly useful.

I went back to the same location in the forest & now stumbled upon what seems to be a grey colored amanita of some sort, grey cap & "chunks" scattered along the cap, the stem was white & much larger in width then last one I found. Also the "chunks" many more of them.. Unfortunately still no camera but i"m working on it guys.
