You're not alone. I got an ecig and I love the damn thing. Have smoke one or two cigs a day or every other day.

Its the begining of day 7.

Oh trust me, im not going back, I have an O of shake on order and thats my new thing, I traded it for cigs cuz I cant do both.

Im sure cig addiction is different for everyone, cold turkey may be harder for others than myself, but I apparently am able to do it quite easily. (it was not easy to make the initial decision, or to get to that point, though)

Over time, alot of time (few months) I just slowly became discusted with what i was doing, how i was spending my time, and with myself.

My biggest difficulty is after one or two weeks. I start to get proud of my achievement and think I can get away with recreational incidental smoking. Wrong.

lol!
Yea Ive already considered that thought. But I know it wouldnt work out for me. Thats why I got a pouch of Red Man, so for special social occasians or a backup if its ever needed, I have it.

Like later tonight my lifelong friend is coming over which I hardly ever get to see. We going to have a drink and chew. (we always used to smoke together)

I'm off cigs for I think about.. a month now, somehow I still smoke a bogie once a three months when I'm too fucked up.. but I will NEVER, EVER, buy a pack again. For me it's sort of easy to quit, even though the first days feel boring and slow without them.

Fuck cigarettes!!

Enjoy cleaner lungs!

Good for you man.

I am curious, how long does it take for you to notice your lungs clear up?

op is 6 days deep... i'm rootin' for ya man! the longer you go without nicotine, the more you retrain your brain. if you ever do go to smoke again like months and months down the line, you will remember why you quit and the taste of the cig wont even be any good to you (ive found ime)

I really think the addiction to nicotine is distinct from th e addiction to tobacco cigarettes

Sure I vape like a madman all day every day and obviously I'm still addicted to nicotine, but the thing is I never find myself jonesin' for a hit like I used to all the time with cigs, I'm not getting pissed off and moody when I go for a while without my fix.. and with the amount of nicotine in my juice I probably ingest like 2-3 cigarette's worth of nicotine in a day

The point is I tried for years to find a good solution to my cigarette habit and for years I found that nothing worked.. cold turkey, chewing gum, breathmints, Lifesavers, you name it... I always ended up bac on the smoking wagon in time. I know myself well enough to know I've been down that road how many times and nothing ever comes of it

On the other hand I've been vaping since November and have probably only smoked like 3-4 packs of cigs in that entire span of time which is in my opinion a huge win

Its because they add other addictive chemicals to 'store bought cigarettes'

I have a feeling that even "additive-free" cigs have other psychoactive/addictive alkaloids besides nicotine. I have done no research to back that up but smoking cigarettes (I usually smoked American Spirits or ryo with organic tobacco) just has an entirely different feel than vaping nicotine IME.

Cigarettes have thousands of chemicals contained within them dozens of which are known to cause cancer

Ejuice on the other hand generally has only 4 ingredients: PG, VG, nicotine and flavorings

Plus I make my own so it's kind of a spit in the face to the tobacco companies:smirk:

Yes but have you tried comparing additive free-RYO to 'store bought packs'?

Completely different IMO, additive free RYO is much less 'satisfying', it seems, because store bought contains other things.

I doubt additive-free Tobacco contains those extra addictive chemicals, thats why they call it additive free.
They DONT call store bought packs additive free for a reason.

Yeah I'm familiar with both. Don't get me wrong, I see the difference between additive free and standard store bought cigarettes, I just think there's just as much difference between additive free cigs and ecigs.

It could be a personal Carbon addiction.
Actual Carbon (burning matter/smoke) can be addicting.

I'd say 4 months, it's ridiculous how one cigarette really does bring back all the damage. Might as well get reggies-mids and roll em like cigarettes.

I usually stop smoking when I go to jail for a few weeks. I haven't been in 6 months so I just keep smoking. I dont even like cigarettes all that much its just I cant smoke anything else because im on probation. I figure when im of I will get an e cig with low nicotine and work my way off smoking joints instead.

Before I was on probation it took me a month to get through a pack I would only smoke if I was drunk but now its something I feel I need to do because I have to smoke something and it cant be weed :frown:. When im done with probation im done with cigs its just ive grown to love them now.  :singletear:

Sounds like a fucking excuse dude, cancer is the last shit you want to get. Only now you think it's all good and that you can accept death, but once death is creeping on you so slowly.. you'll understand why you should have quit earlier.

Just hate cigarettes  It's literally like smoking death, it gives no high. Perhaps a minimal stimulant effect but its ridiculous how people created these carcinogenic ass addicting cigarettes with so many chemicals in them for other people to smoke. It seems like some sort of a population control, I'm pretty sure the people who own the cigarette companies don't smoke themselves. They live healthy rich lives while people smoke their garbage. They could be selling weed at 10$ per 20 joints, because weed has endless supply, it's a plant just like tobacco. :stoned:
