what are your plans for when you retire?
    #21904096 - 07/06/15 05:48 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

I went into work today and found out I had off lol, so on my way back I thought I'd hit up a diner..

The waitress seemed to know everybody there by name, and she even knew what they were going to order...we're talking mostly old (I'm assuming retired) folks.

I started wondering if that would be me one day. Not the waitress but the old heads on the other side of the counter.

I never really thought about retirement tbh. I have absolutely no plans as far as that goes. Maybe I'll move somewhere quiet, or somewhere overseas...no clue.

I guess it's a little early to start making retirement plans lol, but it was just something that crossed my mind.

Do you plan on staying where you are, or do you have a place in mind that you want to move to? I know a lot of people start to travel once they reach that age. Maybe I'll do that.

retirement plans

I currently have no plans. At the moment I'm kinda fucked as far as retiring goes. In no position to save or fund some kinda retirement plan.

I feel I am retired being on s.s.i. and food stamps and in an S.I.L. program, which hooked me up w/ an nice apt to reside in as co-tenant in a cool suburb area w/ plenty nearby places to shop and eat.

I feel retired because I am set for life w/ housing and financial and insurance securities... thanks to a simple paranoid s. label given me from back when I was 26. I'm 37 now.

I get to do what I want for most part, explore passions, switch up hobbies, etc. as long as I make most my meetings and work on a couple goals (food preperation and budgeting) to remain in S.I.L. program.

Woot, woot!

Old people are annoying. Every time the line at the grocery store is being held up it's because some old woman has to give her life history to explain why she keeps her money in a certain pocket of her purse.

be the change you want

get old and move fast...you'll hear the younger crowd saying "WHOA, LOOK HOW QUICK THIS OLD GUY IS! I CAN'T WAIT TO GROW UP!"

it's up to you to destroy the tainted image of the elderly and their ability to tell unnecessary stories

I'll probably travel and spend my time leisurely.

My perspective on being "old" has changed as I've aged.  I see guys like Johnny Depp (52) and George Clooney (54) Laim Neeson (63) and I think "60 ain't all that old."

So I figure I'll retire at 60 and have a solid ten years until I'm really "old".  Then when I'm 70 I'll move into communal living in Florida, and drink and socialize the days away.  Then around 80 I'll move into more assisted living, and end up ion full time care for the last year or so from 83-84.

Yeah, thats the life...

I plan dying before retirement. I plan on going out the same way I came into this world . Butt naked screaming and covered in placenta
