found on forest floor in soil

it's two (three? (the red/purple ones have one that's darker in the center, and one that's darker in a ring on the outside)) different kinds that i would like identified

upon being cut, neither mushroom makes any liquid like the lactarius.
after reading the page on russula, i'm asuming there's no point in identifying further

does seem like a good match thoughonly in europe/asia

putting some of the dark red one on the tip of my tongue made a sharply bitter taste as well as a mild medium burning sesnation that i could not wash away with water

Compare to Russula emetica.
The other mushroom is probably too old/dry to exude milk. Try crushing some of the gills between your fingers to see if it leaves a sticky glue-like residue.
