Temp to dry at?

I have a nice food dehydrator. can be set from 95f to 160f in increments of 5 degrees.
What is the optimal temperature to dry at? I heard heat over about 160 will reduce potency. But I also heard exposure to oxygen will reduce potency.
So where is the balance? My dehydrator blows significant amount of air through it, so I dont want to be running cool air over them and not dry anything.
Right now I have it set to about 110.

115 is my favorite.
Keeps the fruits looking perfectly golden and they hold their shape and shimmer.
Higher than that they seem to darken when they dry.
above 160 won't reduce potency. Another 6 hours in the air won't reduce potency either.
You can dry them on the lowest setting for 48 hours and you can dry them at 160 for 12 hours and neither will reduce potency.

Set it to 160. They are done when cracker dry. Drying times vary depending on fruit size.

Ok, I'll keep them at 115 for 48 + hours. I'd like them to look nice as I'l likely be sharing them with some friends.

I do mine at 115. Done in 16-17 hours. Don't worry about the time. Just check them periodically. Optimally you want to expose them for the shortest possible time.

the smallest shrooms I have ever grown wouldn't be dry in 7 hours at 115F.
I use 160F because I prefer them to take less than 24 hours if you use something like 95-115 it will take at least a day.

I've read that decomposition and therefore potency loss happens much faster while the fruits still have moisture in them, so I set mine to 160 for about ten or twelve hours to get them dry and into storage as soon as possible. I haven't noticed much if any darkening at that temp.

Interesting.
I'll believe this since it seems legit. Then again this is the internet.
Dehyrator up to 150 until tomorrow morning in about 6 hours. Then back to 115.

Seriously, 160. Count how many people in this thread have said that number.

I do 160 based on information I was given here. They also look great when done.

everyone says 160 and sure it's fine. But my shrooms always look wasted aftewards.
seriously they look cooked.
lower temps over 100 are optimal for preserving the shiny gold look. You may not think it makes a difference but when people see the difference they'll always choose the pretty golden ones over cooked cubensis.
I only dry at high temps if there is another harvest waiting to go in.
Keep a lookout for my high temp vs. low temp drying thread.

They just seem cracker dry or they're super small fruits. Using 160 makes the oustide super hard right away they seem cracker dry, they're not.
I've never had a problem with the aesthetics of my 160f fruits but whatever works for you if you use 115 its going to take more than a full 24h day

Ran them at 140 overnight and then at 125 for another 10 hours. Total of 30 hours dying time.
They appear pretty damn dry but I'm going to let them sit in a vacume sealed Ziplock bag for a day and the see if they still snap easily or if there is some flex.
Currently my environment is humid. Its 70 degrees outside and has been raining all day. No way to keep the humidity down as I dont have AC.
Should invest in some desiccant....
Kinda pissed because I used to work at a IT place and all our laptops and computer parts would arrive in sealed bags with two pouches of Scilica desiccant. They were definitely still good to use but we threw them away. probably close to 100 bags per day for months
That was before I was into shrooms though. Still bummed, I should have kept some.
