dunking monotub? sub is broken!

i just dunked a tub the usual way...filled the tub with water till the sub is floating and then i put two quarts jars above it to hold the sub down and submerge it. but it seems like a mess! the sub now is not attached to the liner! which might cause side pins in the future and some of the pins are lost now...still cant hold all the sub down due to lack of space as there are alot of pins and i dont want to place something above em...the water now is inside and outside the liner in the tub. is there is an alternative way to dunk your sub other than this....maybe mist it ALOT for a couple of days or something?

I never dunk my tubs for the same reason, it just gets way too messy. I like to heavily mist the sub surface and let it evaporate. The sub should have enough moisture at this point to produce a good second flush.

Damn OP. You got so many threads going. Do you use the search function?
I don't dunk subs, just wait a couple days after harvesting and mist heavy.

yea i use it...thanks for making me notice...most of my questions as you can notice arent that much around...and regarding this post i haven't seen anyone saying how much messy it can get...as a noob iam a little bit paranoid and i dont want to make a noobish mistake and i have already done some and wasted alot of time and energy. what would happen if i dunked for say 8 - 10 hrs? cause i might be away.

It will still fruit as separate blocks but your trips from those fruits will feel broken and detached. Like something is missing.
Only mushrooms grown on complete intact substrates give all their visual effects.

Broke a sub, down the middle, harvesting side n bottom, once, after 2nd flush. Just broke it into 4 slabs, and turned them on their edges, like a row of dominos. Got 2 more excellent flushes out of that one!
Another no dunk, heavy misting guy here...

Yeah, i never dunked any of my tubs. Misted super heavy bewtween flushes and sucked up any standing water with a syringe. DONT let your sub sit in standing water too long, its just asking for rot and bacteria!
