ID Request
    #21900275 - 07/05/15 09:47 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Found growing on old dried up creek.

Gills are a off white, brownish color.

Somewhat thick, hollow stem.

Brown, sticky cap, very shiny in appearance.

I am printing now.

Didn't really notice any bruising.

I have my doubts that these are an active species but they were by far the most interesting looking mushroom I found on my brief walk in the bush.

After looking at the pics again I can see what appear to be rusty brown spores on the veil remnants. I'll be sure to pay closer attention to this in the future.

I knew these were an interesting looking species. This is a great reminder of the dangers of picking wild mushrooms. I'm glad to now have a close up look of this species growing in my area.
