Is this trich? Can I just cut it out to prevent the spread?

I think I'm in trouble and would appreciate another set of eyes on it!

I have tried many many times to cut it out and its fucking hard to do right. You gotta get all of it plus the area around it that doesn't look touched all without touching it or spreading it. I've never not made it worse but I read a post and he took small sandwich bags and inverted them scooped a handful at a time and closed the bag immediately. Then he salted the edges.
-------------------- Alright then, picture this if you will: 10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes, in my "need to know" post, just outside of Area 51. Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping... Holy fucking shit!

Its either trich or aspergillious (sp?) , did it start off with bright white patches before yhe green came in?
Cutting it out will just spread spores everwhere and jeperodize future grows. Take it outside and harvest. Then toss it.
If I have a tub thats showing signs of trich and its just putting up pins I will put it on the porch to fruit out. But you wont get a second flush once it goes green, just take what you have anx toss it
Or it will look like this!
This is a tub I left on the garage a while after I hrvested the first flush

Yes thats trich! What i used to do was spray with 10% h2o2/h2o to wet it so it wouldn't release spores while agitating it. I would then cut it and the area around it out and spray the edge of the cut with undiluted 3% h2o2. This never stopped the spread of trichoderma but it usually slowed it down quite a bit, if the spot of trich was small enough and not through out the whole tub.

This was more so i could just finish out the flush not to actually save the tub as the h2o2 kills the myc also and leaves it open to further contams.

Ok, sounds like its toast. Still, I've gotta try to keep it alive.
I covered it super slowly in wet paper towel. Then I cut around it, to just below the casing layer. Removed all of it with a large ziplock freezer bag, trying to minimize air movement. Finally, I covered it with rubbing alcoholsoaked paper towel.
I'll keep you guys posted.

You're just like me. I've tried more times than I can count to save contaminated myc with almost 0% success.
Oh, well, good luck to ya!

its all over the tub just under the casing layer. you can see the tint of green throughout the tub.

Take a close look at them when you harvest. If they have green on the fruits then toss them. If not, bon appetit.

Only way is to catch it before it turns green. Even then it's tricky, and risky to your future grows...

This. A salt paste is going to do a lot more than the alcohol/h202/paper towel situation you have going on.
Really should just put it outdoors....

Harvest the fruits and then bury it in hopes of getting a few more. Worked for me.

trich feeds of chitin it's a facultative parasite of p,cubensis. it will parastise if given opportunity, hence why 99% of the time if you got trich before the first flush we will say it came from your spawn.
