Furfuryladenine and trichocereus flowering?
    #21898084 - 07/04/15 06:57 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Hey everyone, just real quick I was doing some shopping today and came across Furfuryladenine. I was curious if anyone has done or knows of experiments with this on trichocereus to help them flower. Thanks everyone, have a great 4th! :sunny:

You should try and report back however I suspect it will only cause the cactus to pup if strong enough. Kinetin is often used as a substitute to BAP in plant tissue culture. Different amounts may result in different effects so try it out if you can.

I think that once the cactus is mature enough to flower bap or GA-3 may promote flowering however it may also cause fruit to be seedless or sterile.

I am currently experimenting with 6BAP myself to induce pupping.
