Identification: North Georgia Hunting

So I decided to do a little premature Weilii hunting in hope of finding something to complement the fireworks show tonight. Despite a few good days of rain here, the mushrooms were very scarce out in the deep woods.

I did come along this log by a stream that had some nice clusters protruding from the wood. The caps were nice and slimy to the touch, the gills and stalks both white. The stalks did not bruise blue, though. :frown:

I was wondering if anyone can identify exactly what the particular strain is:

I was almost hopeful these could be Pluteus americanus.

I see some folks are having some luck out there -- can't wait for some more rain and for Weilii season to arrive in full force!

Perhaps Gymnopus or something collybioid, not active.
