The truth
    #21895811 - 07/04/15 07:34 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

I have the suspicion that the truth of our organisms dynamic workings at the gross may be mechanistic and not so special as many would like to believe. Most of of brain power is probably dedicated to the complexities of movement.

The billiard-ball model, which was proven wrong a hundred years ago.  Why can't people catch up with theory?  Human beings can comprise both deterministic and nondeterministic aspects together.  It doesn't have to be one or the other.  Consciousness can play a non-redundant role.  Reality is much more complex and messy than just a classical, strictly causal model can account for.  We know this from quantum theory and relativity.  Cartesianism has been unequivocally thrown out the window, but most people are stuck in it.  Why?

The indeterminate plays little role currently in our reality.

By indeterminate you mean...what? Do you mean by that "the mysterious" "the numinous" "the psychedelic"?

Most of my beliefs I acquired from my father and from John Wayne, and anything that wasn't ultra tough and ultra cool was to me ultra embarrassing. In fact, I lived in a state of near continuous embarrassment, never measuring up to the ridiculous standards I had accepted without question, applied to a framework of expectations neither I nor anyone else could meet.--J C Amberchele

almost nothing important that ever happens to you happens because you engineer it. Destiny has no beeper; destiny always leans trenchcoated out of an alley with some sort of 'psst' that you usually can't even hear because you're in such a rush to or from something important you've tried to engineer. ”

Well when I say "nondeterministic" I suggest some sort of acausal connecting principle.  I'd be interested to hear what Jaegar means.

Is OP saying that he believes our body and brain to be natural? Is that all this is about? I love philosophy but all it really is is a way to think about things. for example, philosophers came up with building blocks such as logic and mathematics. But that doesn't mean you believe in Plato's forms, or any of their views on the metaphysical as facts, right?

amoebas, worms, plants, slime mold, all these things make complex movements without a brain.

For one thing I think you underestimate the complexities of movement. And then it just get stupider so I might pass and you can do the research. Your not dumb and i dont care. Its just things are more complex then we would like to create.

Movement most likely takes up huge proportions of our brain capacity. Forget the zero point shit our technology is so fafr away from its existance for your offspring to pursue.

Everyone can take a breather complex or thinking ai is way beyond our capabilities. Especially comapread to biological functioning.

If you have this astonding BS I would greatfully keep it warm.

It wont happen in Amercia lol.Not like the russians and chinese want to get rid of the parasuitic dominion.

I thinbk the chinesese have developed a competent technological arm and stolen relevant technolgies from the incumbent tards.

I suppose what Im saying is amercia is a has been. I would invest mty money in China or that market.
