North Texas Front Yard ID
    #21895417 - 07/04/15 02:25 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

SPECIES NUMERO UNO:
Habitat: Well kept front yard in North East texas (suburb setting)
Soil, I suppose.

Gills:
Closely grouped together, black at first but one I found without spores is now grey to orange-ish brown... Frayed at bottoms.
Not connected to the stem.

Stem:
2-5 inches long, less than 1/4 inch thick. Hollow and white. No rings. Feels smooth but slightly tacky, somewhat clammy.

Cap:
Spread out I'd call it 2.5 inches, but radial distance maybe an inch.
Cream colored with an opaque darkness around the middle.
It's got a bit of a flat nipple on top as well.
Has some easily removed flakes covering the nipple.
Conical in shape with frayed bottoms.

Spore print color:
Black but im not sure if jet black

Bruising:
no observed bruising

Other information:
Stem smells grassy, but my nose is a piece of shit so eh

If I leave any info out let me know I'm just kind of scatterbrained so I always feel like I'm missing something but can never figure out what it is, and y'all dont want paragraphs and shit look at me go, I'll stop

(Picture is in such a format because of phone camera, low quality, me being stoned and other various factors ((read more here)) )

And this one,
SPECIES NUMERO DOS
This one is a bit harder, due to my shitty camera and how jimminy TINY these buggers are I dont know what to do BUT,

Habitat: In a small subtropical region of my back yard (N. Tx still)
Weeds and ivy surrounding eachother in a jungle of love atop a hefty pile of rotting wood (pecan or oak tree not sure).

Some of the mushrooms though, grew right out of the dirt, some out of the wood. I observed two types but one I think I had pinpointed as a Queensland Marasmius (red wavy bell cap with white spores and a air thin dark stem ya?)
anyways, these guys grew near and in the same region

Gills: slightly crowded but notsomuch as to keep one from maybe counting them if one was so inclined
Brown in color.
Not super savvy on the whole attached or not thing but the gills look somewhat attached...

Cap: flat and wavy, regular ol brown in the middle wit some khaki tan on the edges. nipple that actually pokes out on this one.

Spores: unavailable for they seem to have all dropped before finding them, or maybe the spores are the same color as the gills? dunno!
UPDATE ON THIS: Spores may well be brown after observing a little 3 mushie cluster where it seems spores have been sneezed onto a little brother.

Stem: Brown and then white as it gets to the bottom, hard to tell whats on the inside but it doesnt look hollow to me. too thin to really tell

Each mushroom is about an inch long for these guys (including the ones shown)

let me remind you of my shitty camera~~~

I suppose if #2 isnt quality enough I can maybe describe better...

(quick request, if anyone can also point me somewhere i can better learn the terminology for mushrooms thatd be great because back and forth traversal of wikipedia gets confusing and my forum searches are defunkt because maybe my keywords suck?
I dont know plz hlp me i am 1 amspirebitious noob
i need learn
