What is the most alive you've felt lately? 1

Me and a group of my mates went up to the biggest hill in our area and watched a storm system come in, there was lightning all around us... it was literally spectacular. Being that close to death is more empowering than any drug experience I've ever had.
What is the most alive you've felt recently?

Haven't felt any more or less alive in quite awhile. Last time I can recall to even equate to that feeling was when I still had my bike. So few things really compare to flying down the road with nothing between you and asphalt except 2 wheels and balance.
I actually wrecked it like the first day I had it. Brand new tires, heavy sediment covered road and sharp turns just don't match. Luckily I wasn't hurt. Injury saving instinct seems to transfer quite well from BMX to motorcycle.
I sold my bike years ago though. I plan to get another some day.

Well last weekend i went to the grateful dead fare thee well shows in Santa Clara and felt very alive and happy, and in awe, it was beautiful. But the last few times i went backpacking i also felt very alive, i went to a nearby hot springs off of the river and hiked a good 24 miles in a few days. Also just certain moments where something big is happening, like when my best friend got back from Thailand, or when one of my other friends moved away, other events. i feel alive a lot. i also trip a lot.

Not really. There's nothing worthy of exploring outdoors for many hours of a drive from where I am. I can drive for an hour in any direction and still be in the dead center of refinery/city territory.

It's 4:30 am. I'm too tired to do anything but shit post. But yeah.
I smoked a bong with my finger and got second degree burns.

It didn't make me feel alive. But it's some crazy shit I did.
I'm an adrenaline junky so I have a decent chunk of stories of legitimately crazy shit I've done and not just stupid alcoholic benzo induced jack ass stunts.
Maybe I'll post them once I sleep off this shit posting slump I'm in.

Hate to rag on you but the only time I considered close to death in my life is when I was actually dead for 2 minutes, drowned while my body and limbs were turned to mince meat.Couldn't move my legs for several days. I was only half way through the lvl 5 rapids so I tucked my bloody useless limbs into the rubber and finished the river. I have almost been shot,I've been set on fire, several car accidents, untreated alcohol poisoning, almost impaled by a seven foot steel rod by a few inches etc.
Watching Storm systems rolling in is not nearly what I would consider near death experience unless shit strikes you or next to you. Yeah there's some danger but not much.
Anyway I do know what you are saying about feeling alive watching a violent thunder and lightning storm. I've had lightning lighting up the sky from siide to side in huge cracks of Mythical proportions.
That just isn't a near death experience and I have a feeling you will get a lot of shit for this but don't let it get to you to much. i appriciate your story you uust exagerated way too much.

Cliff jumping for the first time while tripping a few weeks ago. Im super afraid of heights, start getting shakey and sweaty just from being on a ladder no more than 1 story. I was only planning on swimming and not jumping, but went up the trail near the 70 ft. Cliff to smoke a blunt with my buddies because the L was kicking in. I walked up and looked off the edge and got the worst feeling ever, like the same feeling i have when i dream of falling off a building or something. I decided jumping couldnt be any worse and just went for it, and i for sure thought i was going to die during the freefall which lasted a lot longer than it should have since i was tripping haha.
When i swam up and got my head above water all the anxiety and fear was gone and I felt the best I have in years. Real close to the feeling of having a close call on a motorcycle, but making it or going too deep on psyches where you just want to be sober and never trip again then coming dowm. Just happy to be alive lmao.

There's some bold as fuck sea gulls that hang out near burger king. They will fly right up to you and snatch french fries right out your hands. I said God dammit , seagull and punched one right in the face as it swooped in for my french-fries (freedom fries?). All those fuckers steered clear of me after that.

So instead of actually contributing you're going to call me dumb? Way to contribute to the thread. There was at least 15 of us, and we are all still alive. We were not the highest things on the hill, there were big metal conducting rods with lights on, around us to warn planes of the hill, which the lightning is definitely more likely to hit than a human standing 1.8m off the ground. There were also trees. At no point did I say it was a mountain.
If at any point we thought our lives were truly in danger we would have left. Stop being an a troll (which I believe violates the pub rules - way to go Mr. Moderator) and actually contribute to the thread topic.

By comparison.. kind of the same. I was on acid walking the beach at night. A storm was rolling in but it was warm out. I sat for a while listening to the turning water and watching the clouds drift in. Then I laid down and just stared at the sky. I tilted my head back and realized how large my perspective was, then I looked back up and started to feel vulnerable. All that sky was so large and infinite feeling, I thought to myself that if I didn't know any better that I could be falling through that sky. My thoughts started on how weak gravity is and how incredible that it keeps everything here. That made me feel like one wrong move and I could be falling off the edge of the world. It was as if I realized that I'm not standing on the ground, but rather clinging to an invisible force except it's more like a piece of tape that's been pulled back too many times. It was hella freaky son.

I can relate to this one, I was going through London on the tubes around rush hour coming up on 2 hits of pokey acid. I was quite obviously fucked but unless you're a drug person you wouldn't really notice... I was going to a Rodigo Y Gabriela concert at the royal albert hall, it was absolutely jokes. I was leading my friend who is blind from birth the whole time hahaha . I was so fucked when we actually got to the concert I had to get the staff to show us to our seats (but given I had my friend it was completely understandable) . During the middle of the concert the crowd starting melting into one big blob and the music was like it was coming from 2 mexican gods .

Everyday I feel more alive since I was recently cured of Chronic Hepititis C Virus that had done massive amounts of damage to my liver and body. I wake up at 5 or 6, don't feel tired, and the air smells good in the morning, and cool and fresh, and my body doesnt hurt, and I look forward to a new day and working and if I am not doing something like working then im doing shit around the house, or making music.
Now THAT is living.

i pretty regularly feel alive, maybe not so much when you get the occasional down in the dumps feeling but even then is reminiscent of all those times in the past full and angst and regret, very much an alive feeling.
this week on my day off i took a dose of mda and cleaned organized the garage and house, then cooked dinner and hosted for 9 people, all good friends. that was pretty fun, exhausting but fun.
