it doesn't look like trich to me, but I have only had trich in grain jars. It just looks like weak mycelial growth. Wait for someone who knows more than I do though, oh and btw if it sporulates, get that shit out of the house!!! Sublime is right though. It doesn't look very healthy Maybe it isn't fully colonized. I have seen tubs like that, that were just not ready.

Now that I look at it more, the fact that there are rhizomorphs pertruding from the lighter areas makes me think that it is definitely not trich

Trich has a very bright white look, but its almost crystaline if yoy look up real close. Itll go green really fast
Like the tub of horrors above! Hehe
But yea an out of place, bleach white crystaline looking patch is the start of trich. Something about your tub looks off but I wouldmt say trich.

IMO the bright-white perimeter is healthy, but the entire center looks suspicious to me. It's less white, less thick, and from the aerial shot looks less colonized. I've seen this pattern in a few of my tubs and usually the middle swells with metabolites after the first flush because of an apparent bacterial infection.
So that's my prediction, it will fruit mostly on the edges while the middle will show signs of bacteria toward the end of first flush and especially once you mist it. But I'm still learning to detect these issues too so let us know how it turns out!

Very umcommon? Dude I wish I had your life haha
Trich is the most common mold contamination , the absolute bane of mushroom cultivators. Ive never lost a tub to anything but trich.
Maybe some bacteria hiding in there on one or two grows too, weakening the sub to become more vulnerable to molds

Nah I was just too lazy to dump substrates if I dont need the tub right way. Left it in the garage, dumped later on and washed out tub

Dude it's only been 4 days since you put it into fruiting. Give it some more time and be a little more patient. 4 days is not a long enough time to wait after fruiting. If it's been over a week with ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE, then I'd be worried. Patience is key, bud. Give it a little extra time.

If you look at my grow log in my sig. I started fruiting April 25th or something and had first flush finished completely by may 29. That's a full month of fruiting for first flush. Even a week+ isn't worrying. If it isn't contaminated, it'll fruit when it's ready.
Also doesn't look bad to me. Not great but not bad. Looks like it could be dry though.

Yea it may take two weeks before it pins. But if you're 4 days in and not seeing any of the white turn green yet, that's a very good sign. Usually white-trich will turn green within 2 days of my fruiting it.

WTF????
If only this were the case...lol....
Trich spores are damn near everywhere, just as shitloads of other mold type spores are. As far as experience goes, trich happens to be the one mold I have really had any notable issues with.
