Red dot?! and some fuzzy myc
    #21895040 - 07/03/15 11:34 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

So I've got two issues....the first cake has a dime sized spot of myc growth, but has this red dot, like a zit staring me in the face. Now, I know I prepped these jars with too much water just to see what too much water looks like, but it was only a quarter more cup over 7 jars. I have no idea and cannot find a similar red dot on the forum. Also since these were too wet its taking much longer, as expected. That single dime size has been there as is for over 2 weeks now, though. I knocked these up 6-8-15

The second jar in question I have is one that has a solid half dollar size myc growth with a faint yellow edge around it, presumably metabolite (myc piss), but all around it and the other innoc. Points is really fuzzy see through myc. I haven't found much evidence on here about cobweb mold inside of brf jars, so wtf? These two jars have pretty much been stalled for at least the last week.

Jars are stored in the dark, unless I'm in there, between 74 and 77 degrees.

Any advice such as, you fucked up n know it so just keep waiting it out, or *edit* you're screwed on those two, toss em, anything *end edit* would be greatly appreciated.

Really hard for me to say. Since it looks like it's actually a part of the white spot, my guess is fusarium or something related. They have white mycelium and sporulate pink purple and even red. It also looks like it has a light coloured mold or bacteria. It's kinda impossible to pinpoint anything further without a microscope.

So just toss that one with the red then....darn.  The other one though with the fuzzy myc, that one would be safe to crumble/case or even just birth?

Idk. You deleted your other images lol. Ime white and fully colonized is a good sign. Even if it's half fluffy and rizmorphic

Where the rhyzo myc meets the fuzzy there's yellow between them in case it didn't show on the pic

Wouldn't use that one. Grey mold. Maybe dactylium. 1st and 3rd would be good when colonized.

Also I for some reason was still able to see the first ones. Otherwise I would have said I didn't know. My statement still stands. Toss em. Fusarium has a lot more than several cases of people going to the hospital with a fungal infection. So I'd get that one far away from your home

When u say 1st and 3rd ones, u mean the jars on the right n left of the jar in the center of the pic, right? Not the 1st n 3rd pics..cuz the first 2 are one jar and the last 2 are another jar. Just turned 180 degrees...I'm sure u know this, just making sure we're on the same page...

Thank you very much for ur help, and keeping me outta the hospital lol
