Exactly.
You gladly show your ID to buy booze. You show your ID in the bank, youshow it to anybody. But when a cop asks, suddenly it's the end of the world.
I get it if you know you have a warrant, but that's your fault.
If you have committed no crime, wtf are you afraid of? Whats the problem? People are too fucking paranoid...
Contribute to the solution. Allow yourself to be IDed. Who gives a fuck anyway. The cop will forget you and move on.

The loony left always says if you have to show id it means they are Nazis or something. What a pile of horseshit. The dems don't want voter id so illegals can vote for more handouts.
Build that wall, go trump go!

The difference is that all of those things are voluntary. You don't have to go to bars or frequent places that have age requirements. The government telling you that you must carry around identification cards at all times is very different however. I don't give a shit if a cop it legally able to ask for my ID, but fuck requiring me to carry around papers.

Ok fine, play it that way. Ifthis was China, Russia or Nazi Germany, you have a point.
But I can guarantee you that showing your ID won't lead to you being brought to the station for no reason, being sent to jail for 5 year then be sent to the concentration camp so they can gas you and toss your body in a mass grave

Cops can run SSNs too. Don't even need to afford an ID for something like this to work.
Shit just chip people at birth and scan them. Save us all some time.

Try traveling without ID and see how far you get. I find the requests for ID to be A LOT LESS invasive than the spying the NSA is doing, frankly. BFD if a cop wants to see some ID. Might cause some low life's on the street to start dressing better and clean up their act.

It also forces you to put an ID on your car that everybody can see at all time.

Raping someone is a crime that has a victim, there is no victim if you decide to go for a walk without your government mandated papers. Can you really not see the difference? Driving is a privilege not a right, once again, very different.

Plenty of brain dead dumb asses on all sides of the political spectrum. Lots of idiotic conservatives think open borders is some kind of a long term plot to swing the country democratic with immigrants that won't be capable of voting for decades. Leaders of both parties resist aggressive anti immigration efforts for one simple reason ... GLOBALISM and cheaper labor being lobbied hard by corporations.

Do you really think if you are out for a casual walk and a cop stops you and asks for your ID that if you speak good English you'll be hassled if you don't have it? Seriously? Cops are going to be looking for people that speak minimal English and have no ID.
And how big a deal is it to carry ID when you go out for a walk? The laws are such that we are required to be in this country LEGALLY ... If you're throwing off signals that you may not be here legally, then cops should have a responsibility to deal with it.

its not necessarily that i think I personally will be harassed. I just see the potential for EXTREME abuse of a law like this. See the stop and frisk laws in NYC for an example of a law similar to this that got abused, i'm aware that i as a white male probably wouldnt be bothered, but that doesnt mean i want to see others abused at the hands of an inherently racist law.

The authorities know where the large majority of illegals reside, that's not the issue. The idea that US citizens will be constantly harassed is ridiculous.
You're looking for a perfect solution for a country that's been invaded, that's not going to happen.
"inherently racist law"
No, deporting illegals is not racist, it doesn't matter if they came from South America, Europe, or Asia, illegal is illegal regardless of RACE.

No, deporting illegals is not racist, it doesn't matter if they came from South America, Europe, or Asia, illegal is illegal regards of RACE.
There are three ways this law could be enforced:
A) They could enforce it equally for every singe person, which means every citizen would be stopped and asked for papers when seen by the police.
or
B)The police will have to profile in order to make the law as efficient as possible, and whats the easiest way to profile what an illegal looks like? By race.
or
C)the police will use this law to harass people they don't like, just like every other law similar to this on the books.
I'm guessing we'd see C and A mixed together. Now i agree illegal immigration is a problem, but i don't think turning us into a "papers please" police state is the answer.
