Often these aren't free. I believe WI, where I live now, made them free in order for their voter ID law to hold up. They still got pushed back an election cycle because requiring everyone to get an ID to vote within the time frame allotted was considered an unfair burden by the courts.
Even so you still need a certified birth certificate ($20) as well as some form of transportation to the DMV, which depending on available transportation and distance to the DMV may be a pain in the ass in itself.
Quote:
Its not that hard, but the libs want illegals to vote early and often.
Hard is relative. I lost my wallet once on a bus when I was 18 and getting my ID replaced was hard. This was before I had a liscense. I didn't have a copy of my certified birth certificate (they let me use my hospital one prior to this but changed the law) and I had stupidly had my social security card in my wallet as well. Thankfully I had friends and family I could get some help from. Otherwise I would have been fucked. No ID, no money (it was in my wallet), I had a job but no means of cashing a check. I'm sure I could have borrowed from someone but hopefully you see my point by now.
This was in the state that shut down a lot of DMVs. If I was in a similar situation in a place without public transportation I would have had to hitchhike or bum a ride to find a city that even had a DMV.

How many usa citizens don't have some form of id?
As many as 11% according to this article. Mostly elderly, minorities, low income, disabled, and students.
https://www.brennancenter.org/analysis/voter-id
That's a pretty old thing though. I imagine with voter ID laws passing in many states that that number has gone down.

Baloney, that dumb source you gave just said "studies" said 11% but of course they don't link to the alleged studies.
If you can't prove who you are and that you are a citizen you don't get to vote.

Ho hum phone surveys and the like. Lack of driver's license or photo id? Then let the bastards sit on the sidelines, we don't need the bottom of the barrel voting anyway. There are other forms of id too.
The liberal way is to let anyone come up, give any name they choose and vote. Then go to the next precinct and do the same. They bus them in and move them around all day. No voter id is a license for fraud.

This. Its crony capitalism at best.
Crony capitalism doesn't exist either, its fascism.
quit trying to slander Capitalism by tacking it on to the end of some made up term that refers to something which is not capitalism at all.
Fascism is much more complicated than you're making it out to be. Fascism is also nation specific, and therefore difficult to define in the American context, although some inference can certainly be made as to what a Fascist America might look like.
State Capitalism is a thing, and it is a separate thing from Fascism. Would you call the Nordic countries Fascist? If so, you should really familiarize yourself with the term before throwing it around.

New York City’s watchdog Department of Investigations has just provided the latest evidence of how easy it is to commit voter fraud that is almost undetectable. DOI undercover agents showed up at 63 polling places last fall and pretended to be voters who should have been turned away by election officials; the agents assumed the names of individuals who had died or moved out of town, or who were sitting in jail. In 61 instances, or 97 percent of the time, the testers were allowed to vote

If implemented in a way that wasn't a burden to poor people I have no issue with voter ID laws. My actual experience with them however is as a weapon used to disenfranchise the poor.

Weapon? Really.
Holy shit. Everybody's vote has to count. A person with no ID can get one, often free and even vote provisionally. A stolen vote can never be recast.

Well plenty of people are born here in America and absolutely despise it. They are over privileged morons with no sense of nationalism. The US is basically a conglomerate of the UK, Canada, and all the other places we demolished in WWII

Oh you meant literally vote stealing? Not canceling out someone eles vote because an illegal voted.
It's an inefficient way to steal an election and therefore rarely happens. I'm sure it would suck though to have someone steal your vote.
On the other hand, the voter fraud that does happen is not prevented by voter ID laws and the way I see these laws being implemented is not in a compassionate or often even legal way.
So it looks like a political weopon to me. One that aims to make it harder for poor people to vote.
Here's more on that study.

SO apparently Trump recieved death threats from the Mexican cartel leader (Or something) after the jailbreak.
What I'm wondering is, the Secret Service is only mandated to protect you if you are the nominee of a party. As candidate, they don't bother. Not their jurisdiction.
Will Trump recieve special protection?
