no, you can't do that. dog shit, like most other carnivours, is mostly just useless waste. it doesn't contain the necessary nutrients to support mushrooms. this is why they grow in cow shit. the digestive system of cows allows the appropriate nutrients to get through.

I've seen some of the stuff my dog eats. I don't think i'd want to eat shrooms that grew on his poop. I get the willies just thinking about it. Cow, sheep, rabbits, etc, no problemo.

for the second half of your post about all the mushrooms up on the trail, you peobably know this but a quick to to totally eliminate the possibility of th emush being good i would just bruise it if it doesent turn blue its shit, if it does investigate further. good luck
