No need for us to debate this in two places. I responded to this exact claim just now. The most recent data show temperatures following the same trend since the 50s.

Exxon knew about their company's direct role in climate change as early as 1981, then funded denial efforts.
So, how many people in this country accept man's role in climate change 34 years later? Just over half.
It's the same game as cigarettes. Imagine spending some money to convince the public that the negatives associated with your business are simply made up. Then imagine half the fucking people believe you for decades.
Ok TYT.
the article and emails do not say all that bullshit you just parrotes from the young turks.
What They say is that exxon did an environmental impact assessment, which is completely normal.
The field they were assessing contained a lot of co2.
the idiot libs are twisting it to mean that since it was co2 and they were doing a routine environmental assessment then somehow THEREFORE they knew about CO2 induced climate change.
this is a massive leap in logic, typical of those lobs make, in order to push the lib agenda, but the emIls don't say anything close to that.
The article is from the Guardian, which you'd know if you bothered to click the link.

What I am is irrelevant.
What matters is that the data shows a global warming "hiatus" since 1998.
look at the data, fool. Quit politicizing it. You were wrong, you invested your ego into and now your ego persists even though the data has changed.
once again libs are just ignoring data that contradicts how they FEEL.

Once again. The newest data published just this year suggests there is no hiatus and never was one. Please see the post I made in response to you in the other thread (linked above) and I encourage you to read the study, it's quite interesting.

You mean the guardian link posted in the description of the TYT video you watched? I watched it too and you pretty much just parroted what they said.
here's the video;
the video came out yesterday.
the guardian article came out on the 8th, 4 days ago.
the timing of your post shows you are parroting the video, so quit being disingenuous, just admit you took them on their word and did not dig deeper and review the emails. i watched the video too, but unlike you I was smart enough to detect the blatant twisting of facts they did so I dug deeper and lo and nehold, TYT was bullshitting, as usual.

The data was showing a cooling trend so they "revised the data sets" that is politically driven crock "science"
the data was not showimg them what they wanted to see so they changed the data ex post facto to fit with their desired narrative.
based on the former data sets, the globe has been cooling, and continues to cool since 1998.

If you read the paper, you'd see that there were physical reasons for each approximation and adjustment made. The reasons are clearly explained and well founded. You are certainly entitled to believe what you want, but I would hope that you would at least examine contradicting evidence before outright dismissing it. Ignoring data that contradicts your worldview does not make you more right.

They only started to add those AFTER the data started to show cooling. They added other "adjustments" IN RESPONSE to the cooling trend in order to force the models to align with the political narrative.
they were perfectly happy with the former data sets when they were showing them the data they wanted to see, they only changed the data sets once the data contradicted the political narrative.
those are extremely poor controls for so called scientists.

what hiatus? That stupid cooling trend link that gets passed around is confirmed horseshit.
I think I'll side with the vast majority, you can keep parroting the corporate denial narrative if you want. I'm sure history will smile on you.

when you put a glass of ice water outside on a hot day, what happens? if you said:"the ice melts" congratulations, you are correct. What happens to the water when the ice melts? if you said:"it gets colder" congratulations, you are correct. What happens, when there isn't anymore ice to melt? if you said:"the water begins to warm" congratulations, you are correct.

Again, youre dismissing data without having even read the paper. You are assuming that the data are faulty, but you don't know the first thing about them, and therefore, are in no position to make any sorts of judgements. It's a textbook example of someone ignoring information that doesn't agree with their world view.

Agent Orange—or Herbicide Orange (HO)—is one of the herbicides and defoliants used by the U.S. military as part of its herbicidal warfare program, Operation Ranch Hand,[1] during the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1971.[2] It was a mixture of equal parts of two herbicides, 2,4,5-T and 2,4-D.
Investigation of health effects Serious health symptoms reported in 1977 by veterans of the Vietnam War spurred both the White House and the Veterans Administration (VA) to institute studies to evaluate the possible long-term health effects of herbicides and contaminants. http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Agent_Orange.aspx
The government of Vietnam says that 4 million of its citizens were exposed to Agent Orange, and as many as 3 million have suffered illnesses because of it; these figures include the children of people who were exposed.[57] The Red Cross of Vietnam estimates that up to 1 million people are disabled or have health problems due to contaminated Agent Orange.[58] The United States government has challenged these figures as being unreliable.[59]
Agent Orange was manufactured for the U.S. Department of Defense primarily by Monsanto Corporation and Dow Chemical https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_Orange

It amazes me people still say their products are safe when its been proved over and over that they are not.

Speaking of strawman, I said nothing about agent orange. Take a dose of your own medicine, woofed.

You were replying to a post discussing agent orange and its safety. How was anyone to know you meant a completely unrelated product and its safety when you reply to that post?

Maybe because I said "their products" not agent orange?

So, other than agent orange, what products of theirs have been proven not to be safe?
