Best monotub setup?

I am casing cakes. I am choosing to do multiple tubs so that if one gets contaminated it doesn't ruin the rest. I am also using my closet to help prevent contams and will be purchasing a hepa filter with a fan strong enough to push all the old air out from under the closet door and only let fresh air in. I will have the tubs on shelves near the filter exposed to light at regular intervals. With these things in mind I am wondering what the best tub setup would be. Right now i was thinking the shotgun method with soaked perlite on the bottom...no verm underneath the cakes...and a casing layer on top. This is my first attempt so any advice from someone with personal experience/success would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

A Monotub is completely different from a shotgun FC, but since you're using cakes I would say yes do the SGFC.

I Say Go Strait for a Monotub - Its like one Huge cake -But if you really want to do cakes get a SGFC. I tried cakes as my first grow and it turned out very well but was disappointed with the yield.. (My First Grow) Crumbling the cakes looks like a better way to make the most of mushroom cakes but this is risky and can lead to contaminants. I have done one monotub and the pay off is Huge in comparison. A Monotub requires no misting / fanning so in theory its easier to take care of and I believe its easier to prepare. You will need a few extra materials but only 1 or 2 tubs would be needed.
Some good Info here - http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20307891
Your 'Set up' sounds good What ever you choose to do i wish you the best of success! Keep researching and you will have mushrooms in no time!
I Like to keep my tubs in a room with an open window or a fan circulating a room with lots of sunlight (not direct) or a 6500K Bulb on the 'dull' days..

Well i purchased a hepa filter with fan and temp regulator...I am choosing to case for 2 reasons. for one I was told the potential yield is better...and 2..I want to have them separated JUSTT in case of a possible contamination so it doesn't spread to everything. I obviously had some confusion when posting but seeing as how a monotub is apparently not what i was wanting to do anyways I guess I will be going with the shotgun tek. I live in the desert...have complete control of fae and temp so I think I will be alright. I was unsure of myself until realizing how efficient the hepa filter was going to be for me. It was expensive but hopefully it will prove to be well worth the investment and it suits my OCD. unfortunately all I have is indoor lighting but it will be direct for 12 hours a day so I'll see how things go. Thank you all for your responses.

you dont want anything blowing air in the same room as a shotgun chamber. the hepa is way overkill for fruiting.

If you are using cakes, want to split them up, and want to bulk them- make "mini bulk" "fruiting trays" (search engine those).
Here's mine that are going right now- I split one cake between two and then did one in one so I can compare results.
