Trichocereus dosage

I have read many forums on this site amd haven't been able to find appropriate dosages for Trichocereus sp. cacti, I think its important to discuss this not with supposed dosages (although it may be hard to make accurate approximations) I'm new so I Don't know if I'm able to upload links, I found one article from the government of Peru (in spanish) where they analyze San pedro, Peruvian torch and others for alkaloid content both fresh and dry. San Pedro has anywhere from 0.23-2.33% mescaline in dry weight of SKIN only, yet this amounts for about 40% of total alkaloid content, meaning there is still significant mescaline in the rest, non-photosynthetic parts of the cacti. Peruvian torch has anywhere from 0.80-4.2% meacaline in the skin (dry) yet there is a clone that has 0.1-04% The other cacti I won't discuss as it is not Bridgesii and are minor. The interesting analysis is that from full weight of fresh cactus, including woody core, transfers to a 46.3:1 ratio (fresh full cactus:dry skin) What I would love is for you to discuss your dosages with these two species of cactus and how they served you, it's interesting, maybe done before but I feel it can be useful to people (like me) that get confused with so many variation in dosages, 12" send some to space and some just feel tickles... Thank you for your responses.

The problem is that every plant is variable in how much mescaline they contain. The best advice that is out there is that mescaline is very gentle and forgiving, so it's better to take more, rather than less.

I've have only used SP cuttings from 4 different mother plants over the years, never tried PT......Some of the SP i've worked with brought about threshold to mild effects from 18 to 24 inches, while some would bring those same level of effects from a mere 5 inches and have me quite high off a foot (comparable to one "good" hit of lsd).
So yea....there is indeed lots of variation at play, especially when different ways of brewing/extracting come into the picture and how well folks do their brew or extract.....with SP, 12 inches for a starting dose is a good rule of thumb imo, then you can dose accordingly once you know how potent your cactus is. At its most potent, i don't think a foots-worth would be an unmanageable or overwhelming experience for most peoples that are looking to trip.
Some say bridgesii has munch more consistency in its alkaloid concentration.
