Discolored agar... Infection?
    #21890321 - 07/02/15 09:59 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

My last batch of transfers, a bunch of plates have discolored all the way through the agar.  Some have odd growth patterns and I'm assuming there's bacterial(?) contamination?

However some the growth pattern looks completely normal.  Any thoughts on this?

I'm going to re-do these transfers, obviously.  But figured it would be worth learning from what I'm looking at, at this point.

Has anyone else had this happen?

hard to say from those pics. could just be over cooked. did they solidify that color or did it change over time?

It changed over time, hence being a little weirded out by it.  :undecided:
