I flip a coin and say not active/weak. Just quessin tho... Picture just doesn't tell a thing about the actual plant and chemicals in it. I could tell more by tasting and smell the flesh but from picture it's actually rather pointless to try say anything for sure.

Looks like it a cuzcoid to me or it has at least some cuzcoid heritage. Now that people have breeding active X cuzcoensis (and the reverse) really you can't tell by phenotype alone.

Usually when people say Peruvian torch it means cuzcoid.

Well just what he said.I asked if it could be cuzcoid or mix that I needed to know for labeling purposes.only one way to find out for sure and that day is no day soon.atleast not for me.will just have to wait a while to see the color and formation of spines to be sure for myself since everyone says this things a cuz except the vendor.now I feel like he could be pulling my leg.the shops not a sacred cacti place that sells them saying there potent or the story about indians using them for medicine.thats why I bought there thought it was legit.

Tell the vendor you don't want his mislabeled plants and you'd prefer the bridgesii that you payed money for. Quote:

Grow plants, not labels.
I use mostly labels I do my self to remember where and what continent and year I've received certain plant. They don't mean anything for anyone. Only I know the numbers and letters on label to connect them to continent, year, etc...
Ofc if there's label from nursery with cactus I keep them. Otherwise I don't bother my small brains to label plants without label.
One vendor sold me similar "peruvian torch" ...vendor says to me: It's "not-real" peruvianus. But I can't say do you have same clone or not.
If we re in same continent, then it's plausible, but only quessing tho...
