Well, I've experienced the worst part about agar in jars - damn near impossible to see what's going on.
These look contaminated to me, but I really don't know what the hell is up. MS inoculation, I tried to just drop one drop in the center of each.

Your lids do not have Gas Exchange holes. Looks like you are growing bacteria.

Consensus is that the low volume of growth on agar plates means you can get away without GE. That's what I thought about the bacteria.

Looks like there is not enough Agar in them ? .. Kind of see through ? I Would throw them out and try again..
Its best to start with a Clone on agar rather than a Syringe Solution. A MS Syringe has millions of different genetics and would take a LONG Time to isolate. With a Clone Its a much cleaner inoculate if done correctly and should only take 2-3 transfers rather than 6/7 with a MS ( Estimates )
Its difficult to inoculate agar with a syringe due to the moisture content and Very Slow Colonisation times, its hard for the liquid to 'stick' to the agar and can take a week or longer To see any signs of mycelium growing. The longer the mycelium takes to grow the more contaminants.
I Recommenced getting some Sterile Petri Disposable Dishes, These are not very expensive and will be so much better than jars alone

I would just follow pastywhyte's tek to a T and watch the videos as well. The plastic mini round containers used in the tek are easier to open in a SAB than jars. Less movement leads to lower rate of contamination. The tek is easy to follow and is great for beginners. Those jars definitely look bacterial tho.

Yeah, I have since picked up 3 eight-packs of Pasty-approved minirounds. I did this mainly as an attempt to extend the last spore syringe I currently have, but I do have some pf-style jars that will soon be yielding fruits I can clone.

Nicee use both, cloning is a great way to narrow down the genetics, and spore syringes are quite random. However, I've had MS syringes produce some amazing fruits!
