How long have you had the job?
How much do you value the job?
What's your attendance been like so far?

That was exactly what I thought, I just didn't say anything. If he had gotten pulled over skipping work and going to the fest instead would he have said the same thing you think?

3 hour shift? Sounds like a bullshit min wage job I could be wrong though (not bashing if it is). If it is and you don't give a fuck about your job fuck em call in sick. Otherwise i'd go to work.

No I work at a bank doing billing processing at night. It takes about 3 hours every night.

It was definitely my fault for speeding, but it's just a buzzkill. I guess I'm lucky I can ignore it for the rest of the weekend and still have fun. We have an excellent crew camped out this year. 20 or so friends with a massive fire = can't go wrong

Call in saying you're sick or w/e the day before, and you'll bring a doctor's note. I don't know how it works down there but you can pay for a doctor's note and it'll cost you a few bucks. No trouble if you've got a note.

Doctors note? What, is this high school? Are there really jobs that make employees get doctors notes?

If you're away for more than 2 days from any job you need a doctors note, no?  At least that's how I thought it was here.

Ive seen it go both ways. More corporate/retail type jobs want doctors notes

Smaller family businesses tend to be more lenient

AN DIE ARBEIT! :mad2:

"GET TO WORK!" Thats what the nazi officers shouted to the slave labor detail my grandpa was part of. It came to mind reading that a grown adult has to bring in a doctors note to explain his absence.

Its like they own you

Depending on reason you were out it's completely reasonable to require a note to return. And Asante...you're really comparing the job situation in America to nazi concentration camps? you continue to slip away from reality....

As its clear from my text I am not comparing the two, its just an association I had.

Thats not the same.

The fact that you even made that association is ridiculous.

It's pretty general if you're gonna be away for a few days but not very common for a single one.

The fact that you think mental associations have to be related to the topic via functional logic is absurd. Mental images and associations come more often from emotion than from logic.

It's another example of long string of delusional thoughts on your part. Not to mention a continuation of your anti-American sentiment.

You can quit any fucking time.  Was that one of his options?  They can fire you any fucking time too if you aren't reliable and they'll get somebody else.  I never required a doctor's note but I did fire people for repeated absences.

Its not delusional to have a loose association. That is bullshit.
There is nothing American about a doctors note, they do that here in holland too. That is bullshit.

Your entire post is bullshit.
