Returning to mushrooms after 2 year break - what can I expect?

I had very bad anxiety during my last trip and have not done any psychedelics in 2 years to date. Since that trip I have had panic disorder from which I have almost completely recovered - can't even remember the last time I had a panic attack.
Doing it again soon. What can I expect returning to mushrooms? Anyone here had a break and come back before? Were there any changes in your response?
Every time I have taken them they were freshly picked, but this time they are caps. How do I know the caps are legit? Is there any risk of other drugs being involved or does that not happen? Is there more or less nausea involved with caps?
TLDR: Wanting a discussion about returning to shrooms and what are the differences between caps vs fresh.

I took a 5 year break from psychedelics and returned to them 2 weeks ago. I did mdma after my break and felt brilliant, it released a lot of past trauma and was a very recreational experience. It has prepared me to do a small dose of shrooms, which I will do after a few months. Set and setting is your friend.

i havent had a break lasting as long as yours but ive had a couple of 3 maybe 4 month breaks. it seemed like a long one because i was doing lots of high dose trips as soon or sometimes before my tolerance reset for basically a year. but after a break like that its almost like im not quite doing them for the first time but very new to it. its been 3 weeks since i drank aya and i will be eating some mescaline next weekend and i know i will feel like im in a new dimension even though im pretty experienced

After an uncomfortable shrooms trip i took a 9 month break, which did wonders. Since then ive had about 8 more trips and they were mostly great, none of the problems i had before the break surfaced in any big way. Assuming you are internally balanced and happy enough now, you just might find tripping a lot easier and more rewarding, if you're anything like me
good luck and good vibes to you sir

eat some dark chocolate 85%, it will get help somewhat to ease the anxiety and increases the power of the mushroom trip.

Caps vs anything else, all the same. Dried vs fresh, fresh wins.
I took a 10 year break and returning was much like I'd never left. So don't be concerned.

expect some magic.
I took a 2 year break thinking I was done with psychedelics. I had tripped a lot and pretty much felt like I had gotten the message and it was time to hang up the phone. I believe that that was true for that period of my life.
What I didn't necessarily realize back then was that the message can change as you change. FOr me the message was that I needed to focus more on my spirituality rather than trying to gain worldly pleasures. So I joined a church and started going 2-3 times a week, reading my Bible and praying every day. I did that for 2 years. Then one day I came across some old mushrooms in a drawer. I didn't even think they were still good but I decided to eat a few. I then had one of the greatest low dose trips of my life.
You see, after spending so much time in the past 2 years in church focusing on Jesus, opening myself up to higher spiritual realities and letting go of worldly distractions, it was like I had made room in myself to receive all the spiritual knowledge the mushrooms wished to impart.
Since then, I have been tripping frequently if not constantly and having the most amazing trips. So I definitely recommend taking a good long break, making some changes in your life and then going back to the sacred mushroom.

Thanks a bunch for all your responses guys. It's taken me every bit of the last 2 years to really process and understand my last trip, but I think I'm ready to see what Source has to share with me on my next experience. Feeling way better about it. Thank you.

I took close to 30 years off from psychedelics. Tripping again was just like meeting up with old friends from 30 years ago - in just a couple minutes all those years melt away and it's like we were just hanging out last week.
The main difference I see is that 30 years ago my mind was like a blank slate, waiting to discover the world. Now, 30 years later, that slate is filled with tons of information - more like an over packed hard drive. And I've discovered the world a hundred times over. Tripping with 30 more years of life experience makes a big difference. Good or bad, that's debatable.

Don't expect ANYTHING. Don't think about what it should be or shouldn't be you will be setting yourself up for failure. Try to go into the trip with NO EXPECTATIONS!!

Is this true? I always think when I stuff chocolate down it makes the trip more euphoric.
