Have anyone done epoxy coating in your garage?

Hi all! We recently shifted our home to Mississauga. The garage floor in the house is completely damaged with small pits and scratches. I thought covering with a mat can solve the issue. But my friend suggested that covering with mat can only be a temporary solution and better do epoxy coating so that it will last for long with good glazing and color. I have planned to give the contract of the epoxy coating to Floortex company. Have anyone done epoxy coating in your garage?

why not just go to a hardware store and buy garage coating? it goes on like paint.......or just buy some touchup cement shit in a little container and spread that on.
i don't see why you would want to contract it out, do it youself and it will cost you maybe $50, contract it out and they will prob charge you $400

its not a hard process to epoxy your garage floor.
the first layer is cake.. the second you have to be quicker due to the fact that it is epoxy and there is a chemical reaction going on.
if you do do this i suggest getting the flakes that go inbetween the 2 layers to give the flood added grip. the basic 2 part can get pretty fucking slick

epoxy is nasty shit tho, u don't want to be breathing it and the masks don't really work, u basically ahve to have expensive oxygen fed mask, thats why i was saying just use floor sealer i dunno maybe that is epoxy not sure but w/e

I was going to do this in a utility basement. If you do some research you find that a lot of people end up dissatisfied in the long run because the stuff chips. You can "fix" it but not really because you just patch it and its prone to chip again. I was told from a man who does these things often that he would just paint his floor with exterior house paint (if I remember correctly). The paint gives it a nice look, somewhat prevents oils and such from soaking in, and is cheap and easy to fix forever.

My neighbor carpeted his garage for his Ferrari. You could try that.

had some experience with the rustoleum garage floor coating, if you park cars or do any automotive work, the coating can become super slick and dangerous.
