My Peal Oyster is just RIPPING through the agar.  The B+ showed mycelium in 48 hours, and is looking good, too.  Zero growth (and zero contamination) on the Button and Black Poplar.  I think I was way too conservative with the application of LC onto the agar and didn't really get any mycelium onto the plate.  May have to start those two over.

Guess I'm late to the party. Got 2 things I'd like to try.

P. Tamps and Pan Jamaica on pelleted wheat grass/coir/verm gypsum. While using cornmeal mush plates to Liquid inoculate Oat grain jars.

started from spores on 8-17. Transferred 8-29. About to transfer again tomorrow 9-5 to the mush plates.

1. I want to find out how well the pans will fruit on my substrate of choice. I've seen pan grows on lawn clippings in the past.
2. I also want to find out if the cornmeal mush Liquid inoculation will leap off as fast as a pf jar slurry or somewhere in between that and an LI.
3. I also read and found a thread in 2008 about dunking pans. I would also like to attempt this on the 2nd flush. The results were really good.

I was initially going to attempt the cornmeal mush slurries with cubensis only. But have these P. Tamps and Pan. Jamaica to mess around with. I've already considered this experiment a failure but lets see what happens.

I may do a side by side with AA+ and Thai Lipa Yai cubensis to get a timing for leap off on the cornmeal LI. I've got my timing down for LI pretty consistent so if its any faster that would be advantageous. I presume that it will be. The viscosity in a slurry seems to coat the grain and leap off happens faster than plain liquid or water LI. When you begin to see the leap off its generally 50% colonized by that time. Where as leap on an LI is a few dots in the same time frame. I believe the cornmeal mush will be between the two. But I'm hoping its as fast as a slurry. The much is thick and pasty like a pf cake.

Man Chron, I got nothing good on two plates straight from print. A friend got clean growth and hooked me up with a plate. Inoc, has plate pins already.

I do indeed, can confirm they drop the black and gold spores simultaneously.  Ends up looking kinda orange.

Might be, I'll know when I actually print some, I'm just going off what I see on the pastyplate.

I had made a spore syringe from an open air print a few days before that I dropped with.  And the plates had condensation water on them to slosh it all around.

Looks a bit bacterial.  Looking forward to the challenge.  Hopefully the whole thing isn't totally screwed.

Wish I had been less lazy and dropped the spores off the print.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister.  I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave.  I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent.
Triggered yet?

Germination visible on the Pan cyan last night. Much more clear this morning. Too small and running no pour so it won't show up on a pic.

Same here on my pan cyan Jamaican variety! Both plates are germinating. Same with AA+

The Pearl Oyster I started on 9/1 RIPPED through my 100mm petri dish of MEA in 6 days, and was threatening to touch the edges, so today I put the entire plate's worth in my makeshift Erbach blender and knocked up some rye grain jars that were cooling overnight in my PC and made a couple of LI syringes for future use.

The B+ is looking good, too!  I saw mycelium in 48 hours, and it's 1/3 the way out from center.  Neither the Button mushroom (A. bitorquis) or the Black Poplar (Agrocbe aegerita) showed any growth (or contams) and I scrapped them both and started each one over on 9/5.  The Black Poplar is looking good (again, only 48 hours in)...but still zip on the warm weather button.

My B+ took off and is now on three separate plates.  If these look good I'm just going to forget about them and hopefully snag some agar pins to clone.

The plate I started on the 2nd has been transferred to two plates.  Both of these are recovering well.  I plan to fruit these as MS once they look clean but will continue to isolate until I get some monocultures I can play with.

One of my two PE swab plates might have growth.

Well, I've been getting hit with bacteria on almost all plates, but I think 3 are going to make it. Going to do some transfers tomorrow, and then it's full speed ahead!

Thanks again Mad!
