The main thing to remember is women are pretty spiteful sometimes. You give your girlfriend a good enough reason to and she will rat you out for payback. She might regret it later, but that's not going to do you any good while your in prison.

My plastic petri dishes arrived yesterday. Crushed and shattered in transit, with the plastic sleeve punctured by the shards. I'll never order plastic again. Bit the bullet and ordered a dozen borosilicate dishes and requested expedited delivery so I can participate on-time. Damn this hobby!!!!!!

I just got in on an estate sale that included a bunch of very thick glass dishes probably made around the 50's. Best investment I have made in a while. I got s tired of the plastic ones getting manhandled by USPS or just not being sterile out of the bag and then having to throw them away and pollute an already goat fucked environment. Glass FTW

Glass dishes suck I have a bunch of pyrex ones. Order dishes from a better dealer if they arrive fucked the person who shipped is a fucking dimwit.
Sterilizing glass is just as energy intensive as a factory pumping out 20 styrene dishes. I would bet neither are green friendly

The environment was more of a side note. I am not really that concerned. I do 30 dishes per PC cycle whcih is more than enough for me. I like the glass ones because for some reason it is just more clear. I truly can't explain it, but I feel I can spot bacteria quicker. Also, the fact that I don't have to constantly spend money on new plates and have shit shipped to me is a huge plus.

There's advantages to each. Let's not derail this thread with controversy. My point was that I should've anticipated a potential problem getting equipped to start this group endeavor on-time (9/1) and taken care of this sooner. I feel foolish for having waited.

You could always do pasty plates too.
I'm not sure what I'll grow now. Either pan. Cambo or Chron's KSSS (not directly from Chron).anyone else doing an exotic?

That kind of raises the question...has anyone settled on their plan yet. I think I have. Going to do 12 plates. 4 Argentinian, 4 B+, and 4 Equador. [Thanks Mad Season for the EQ and the B+]. Out of those, I will pick ONE sector (winner!) from each plate, and expand each one of those into its own 75cc's of LC. That will give me 3 LC's, 1 from each strain.
Each one of those will be grown out and go into a single 500cc jar of grain and get fruited from the jar. The best shroom to come out of each jar will get printed. I have no need for a large grow. Just doing this to distribute prints to the community - for microscopy only, of course.

I'm debating still. I have some B+ prints which are my first homemade prints. So I'd kinda like to see how good or bad I did with those.
On the other hand I have lots of colonization space and would like to isolate some PE. So I may do a PE swab, isolate 8 or so strains, spawn 8 tubs, and fruit the best 4. This would be my first isolations without cloning.
I'll probably do the PE.

I got something special planned for this. Will probably not be able to start exactly the same day, might be a few days before or after as I will not be able to schedule this. But it should be fun.

If I can get them in time I'll be doing pan cyan, cincts, BLGs, Mexicana, pe, peu, and some cubes. Definitely AA, but I'm not sure what other varieties. I want a multicultural grow
I got a shit ton of pasty plates for the event :P. I'm probably going to fill my fridge up after this
I'm so excited for this. I can't wait to see what it turns into

So how are you going to set it up?
Make a journal post, have everyone post their first post for editing then move it to mush cult?

2 weeks away! Last call for prints too. To the others who asked recently I'll send them tomorrow. Has there been any who hasn't received any?
