Let's all grow mushrooms! **Started Tuesday September 1st** 2

Started Tuesday September 1st.
There is just 2 conditions: 1) ALL SPORES HAVE TO GO ON AGAR FIRST. 2) PM me or post your thread where you have your grow documented.
After it's all done, I'd love it if we can do what mush madness suggested (this part is optional, that's why it isn't a condition):
Quote:
mush madness said: Sounds good to me, maybe we could all take prints in the end, send them to a TC with a few bucks for shipping and have them redistributed back to anyone who sends them in. A new lottery of sort. It would be a good way to expand our collection

Why drop on agar on the same day? Wouldn't it make more sense to inoculate grain on the same day? Then again nobody here does things the same so... we would be alllll over the place chronologically. I guess if that's the case the first inoculation is a good starting point. I thought we had a thread like this already somewhere?

Interesting. I feel that 2 months from now is actually a pretty short amount of time to get spores in the mail, germinate, transfer a clean spot, and drop onto grains at the same time. I mean shit happens. Besides agar work is a critical part in this hobby, and I'd prefer it if we can help each other out with it too. I know I'd like to hear what people might have to say about agar work or others agar work.
Besides it starts off with agar. Some may want to make LI or LC. Some might do g2g. It will definitely be all over the place. No one will be at the exact place as the other. I just want to start off at the same inoculation point and watch what my spores become. As well as learn more on the side

we'll see what this looks like in a couple months. I'll play along if some more people do.
if we all start with S2A then it will be interesting to note germination times. not extremely scientific but if people post the recipe and aprox age of the spores we could get some sort of correlation maybe. correlation isn't causation but it is cause for investigation

maybe I'll do A2cakes and then top fruit the cakes with a verm casing in a mono. and I'll do 12 different varieties. but I'll probably get high and not do that.

Yes! Glad you get the point . To get research done that not one of us could do alone. To have a mass documented grow from start to finish. As long as 5 people do it in the same time frame, that's 4 more heads getting results. It should also be 5 times as fast to get conclusions.

That's a great idea! I'll add it to OP.

I am new here but not new to growing. I would like to take part. I've sent you a message.

In fact, I lived in a state of near continuous embarrassment, never measuring up to the ridiculous standards I had accepted without question, applied to a framework of expectations neither I nor anyone else could meet.--J C Amberchele almost nothing important that ever happens to you happens because you engineer it. Destiny has no beeper; destiny always leans trenchcoated out of an alley with some sort of 'psst' that you usually can't even hear because you're in such a rush to or from something important you've tried to engineer. ” ― David Foster Wallace, Infinite Jest

I'll just keep doing what I'm doing when noobs come and they're pretty chill I usually PM them and send a print out here and there. I'm not rich but I try to send some new people a helpful favor here and there. I probably won't be in on all too much of the trading but I will share

I think unless I do the no-pour method I'll wind up screwing up far more, as I don't have a flow hood or sab atm - Hopefully I get some funds this week to buy agar supplies.

True agar is the real deal. You can pretty much guarantee a clean grow with the right sterile procedures. Too many noobz think ms syringes are the way to go.
