Self explanatory. If anyone's interested I may make a post showing all steps before this point. This is the most recent of the 3 flushes this patch has shown since it's propagation about 10 weeks back, by far this is the largest single mushroom.

So wait, was that solitary mushroom the entire flush? Or was that just the biggest one left over? And I'd say go ahead and do a quick write up on your method, we all like to read reports.

It's just this one this time. There may be others on their way up.. I notice that in the outdoor patch they always come up at slightly staggered times within 3-4 days. This is day 2 since first seeing the cap working it's way up.
Nothing specific about the method, but let's see.. I started with a few jars of fresh spawn, one pftek jar and one all popcorn. Buried the pf cake whole about 8 inches down, filled the hole with pasturized straw, then a layer of pasturized manure (nothing special, just a bag of organic manure compost), followed by the popcorn spawn broken up level with the rest of the surrounding ground to cover about a half or a square foot.. then repeated to layer again with straw and manure, lastly with some local leaves. The mound sat about 2 inches higher than the original soil level. 6 weeks later I had the first small flush (over all they have been very small and at a low quantity 3-15) after 2 flushes and 2 weeks.. I put down another half pound of spawn with coco coir and straw, plus a layer of a special brf meets coir and rye grass seed mix I make occasionally. A few days later I added an old contaminated cake(roughly 6 lbps) and just covered it with pine bark mulch.. today marks the end of that same week.

Had a huge problem with slugs originally... I was hesitant about using chemicals in my all organic garden. But I just got some iron phosphate pellets and in 3 days my garden went from seeing dozens of slugs every few hours to none at all so.. no more problems like that

Here's a cap view and a video of the mushroom dried and another nice specimen that popped up. Now I wanna add, that when I get a favorable sized mushroom like the first one, I could take it to my flow hood and clone or collect spores on agar and then isolate. But I'm in no rush and I thought it would be nice to allow all the genetic possibilities to permeate the outdoor patch, so I let it open completely and let the spores go. I'll probably never eat the big guy. I like to save them as momentos. I don't very much like to trip so I don't take part in eating high doses. I like to eat about 2-3.0 fresh spanned out thru a week or so, then hit the books. I find it helps my concentration and keeps my mind more open to learn, but I never take tripping doses these days. Basically I use psilocybe as a brain suppliment.

This one popped up two days after I picked that last one took me a while to get around to posting. The mushroom grew much faster than any I've ever seen; after 2 days of 3-5 inches of rain and temperature peaking at high 86°F for about three days, including the days it rained, it grew from primordial size to maturity in under 36 hours

This came up the next day in a separate patch.. this one was a good bit of a surprise.. one one week ago I took some incredibly contaminated cakes(they where completely permeated with green sportulate from some type of trich) I just mixed them with some pasturized pine bark mulch and tossed it in a grow box with raw manure compost growing asparagus. The material I added was about 6 lbs. I think it's interesting to see variations that show up when you take cubensis outside.. the nipple notably becomes a prevalent characteristic
