Wow, you really scored there! Beautiful garden already! And tons of room from the look of it!
For the salvia, I wouldn't put them in full sun all day. They come from an area that gets good light, but not a ton of direct light. I have mine on the porch where they get full sun all morning, and then from about 11am to the rest of the day, just a lot of shaded light. As for water, it looks like you are doing well with them. Don't give them more water than they can drink. I water mine when the plants have taken up all the water in the pot (aka soil has dried). A good way to teach yourself when to water them is to let them go until you notice when they start to wilt, then give em water. Over time, you will be able to notice the wilting earlier and earlier from just subtle leaf 'sagging' and can tune in your watering schedule accordingly. IMO, it is better to underwater salvia than to overwater. If you are constantly overwatering, the roots will not be healthy and you risk rotting and killing the plant.

You could get one of those pots, I suppose. I doubt it's necessary as long as you have standard drain holes in your pots already. When I mix soil for mine, I like adding perlite to make sure it does drain well.
How long have you had them for? They look like they are quite happy. If you've had them for more than a few weeks already, it looks like whatever you are doing is working well for them.

No problem. Keep us updated. And don't worry, they will start drinking a lot more once they get bigger. Only other tip I can think of to pass on at the moment is to make sure you let them have enough root room. They really slow growth when they get root bound IME.
Keep up the good work - and be sure to update us with what you do with all that premium gardening space!
