For me junkie is basically just a derogatory word for any Opiate addict. I wouldn't call a meth or crack user a junkie. Instead they're tweakers and crackheads

It is anyone psychologically addicted and dependent on opioids. It has nothing to do with how you carry yourself.

Most of the people I know that I would consider junkies look like they have given up on life. Hygiene goes down the toilet, stealing from friends and family and totally abandoning their kids. But I do know a junkie that is fully functional, not many are, but this guy is. Holds a job, bathes and whatnot but still...just working to supply his habit. I guess they come in all forms.

the world needs more derogatory terms, we've become so enamored with the political correctness craze that rape is becoming known as super happy fun time and rapist will be called a change of life coach

A junkie is someone who consumes others, themselves and substances completely inverse to how much they contribute to others or themselves.

its funny people usualy do think of crack pipes needles and pills when they think of junkies. You know what I think of? Red-faced alcoholics surrounded with broken bottles, stained underwear, always stumbling and mumbling and constantly smelling of booze.

If forced to give it a name, I call it Great (ta). Being great, it flows out; Flowing out means far-reaching; Being far-reaching, it is said to return. It's just a shot away..

I think of junkie as specifically referring to heroin addicts but really anyone so driven by desire for their drugs that they don't care about all other areas of their life ought to be considered a junkie, whether its alcohol or weed or whatever.

nah man with an ecig mod you could literally never stop administering nicotine into your body. the feeling is way better than a cig MUCH better than a cig and you should know, cloud chasing is inevitable. drugs are drugs.
