First off nice plants, I think its a nitrogen issue from pH block possibly, or could be just a deffeciency not related to pH. I'd hit them with a watering with cal-mag it does contain low nitrogen and is usually my go to for early stage issues. Hope that helps some, I like the short stalky plants.

Thanks for taking a look! I'm in love with them.
And ofc thanks again Zombi3; very helpful! I also found suggestions of 1 plant per sq. ft., so looks like I'll go with eight plants in 3 gal pots for 3 months
I'll post more pics here soon or in a new log thread so you guys can follow along.

Hey guys, anyone have time to take a look at these again?
They've been growing a lot, especially in the past 3 days since feeding them in their new pots. I watered 2 liters per plant, 3ml/liter Iguana Juice, 1.5ml/liter CalMag. I got some color strips to pH test and the solution appeared to be about 7.5. So I've gotten some ph-up/down for the next watering. But I'd like some help learning what the plants are trying to tell me here.
This one is directly under the light and looking more yellow overall than the others. The leaves are very narrow and some are cupping as if heat stressed. But the leaf temps are 75-80F and RH is 55%.

Some of the other plants have this yellowing between the veins on middle-tier fan leaves. There's also a small amount of brown spots or speckling, but that may have been there from before.

Here's a good image of probably the most severe yellowing on one of the plants. The veins are still green and very distinct. I think this has all appeared in the past 3 days.

Other than that they're looking very good in general. I topped them awhile ago and there are many branches in development. The internodes used to be about a centimeter, but have stretched to a little over an inch now. Going to veg for another couple weeks. Thanks very much for the help!

still looks N deficient mixed with a little P deficiency too. The outside of the leafs and veins are still green, but they are yellowing from the inside out. If it is on older growth, its just a remnant from the last time. If it is new growth, you need to flush, then fert.
My opinion.

Wanted to share an updated pic with anyone still following this thread. Iguana Juice ftw! I picked up a bloom bottle and flipped to flower a couple weeks ago.

I think my problem was the pH was too high, even with the "pH perfect" technology. I got some pH down and have been adjusting to 6.0, haven't had any problems since.

Lookin good, Icon
Glad you've gotten your deficiencies all figured out. I recommend getting some "Cal-mag+" for future reference.. Its used for the broad spectrum of plant deficiencies. Hasn't done me wrong yet.
I have some: Cookie wreck x ECSD Cookie wreck Blue cheese && Purple Dream in a 6-bucket recirculating system, under 1000w MH atm. Ive been feeding at 300ppm since seed.

Gotta go check on them after work today.
Anywho, I'll be watching

Daaamn those are looking good!
Yea I forgot to mention I'm also feeding them some GH CalMag and molasses. Got them in happy frog soil so I think that makes it an organic grow.

I'm so excited for them! Eight plants, 1 per square foot with a fan in the corner square. Here's a pic of the layout while they were smaller:

Is your bucket setup a "DWC" setup? I haven't researched the hydro methods much at all yet, kinda intimidates me. But I saw some pictures of roots growing in those and I think it would be really amazing to grow mimosa hostilis in that system. The roots have DMT and you could theoretically just harvest from them perpetually.

Beautiful!

But to answer your question.. Yes, it is Deep Water Culture. 5Gallon buckets. Currently using Fox Farms nute line.. w/ some Rhino Skin (potassium silicate) by Advanced Nutrients.
For flowering I plan on using FF solubles (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, & Cha Ching) w/ some Bud candy by advanced nutrients.
I used those nutes on last years Girl Scout Cookies.. && she was a bad bitchhh!!

I dont think Mimosa hostilis would do well in a hydro system. Due to the fact that hydroponics require synthetic nutrients..
Organics has no place in hydro.. It'll just give you a ton of root rot.
I mean I guess one could experiment using synth's but I'm not too keen on how it would effect the plant after a 2 week flush prior to harvesting.. (in attempt to wash out all synth's/impurities)

Hey I wanna give you guys a final update of how it went with my first grow and the Iguana Juice. It went so amazingly that I wanna say thanks again for the support and I'd definitely recommend the Iguana Juice line of nutrients to anyone else thinking about a grow. I also gave them calmag and molasses. The pH perfect feature of Iguana Juice didn't seem to work for me so I started pH'ing manually and that solved all the other deficient nutes that were locked out.

I have enough quality bud to last me a year but now I miss taking care of the plants and am excited for another round.
