Ok so I was not able to take the best pictures but in these you should be able to see what I am taking about. for instance, in the one with my glove showing you can see the difference between the mycelium growth on the bottom and the solid white closer to the top. It is the solid white that I am worried about. It is whispy...I see it in almost all of my jars and what i am hoping is that its the start of more mycelium growth. In one of the jars i have there is more defined stringy structure to the mycelium and it looks as if it developed from the same whispy white that I am worried about. All I know is that there is zero discoloration in any of it. I am only worried because of how different it looks from the rest of the mycelium. I'm assuming there is no such thing as too much humidity for the incubation stage? because if that is mold I am not sure what could have caused it. Also wondering if mold halts mycelium growth or not?

Looks fine to me, give it a few days mold doesn't take long to grow so you'll know if theyre contaminated pretty quick but I think turn they'll probably turn rizomorphic

if it wasn't for this site I would have been screwed. kinda jumped into this. I hope you're right though, because I am really excited to see how this all pans out. The spots I am talking about definitely look like fluffy white cotton...its just over places where mycelium has already taken over...I didn't know that it would continue to grow layers.
