?? Touched them all? If you mean against the sides then yeah you're fine. Assuming you take lids off so nothing goes over your open media.

Happend to me the last time (=2nd time) I G2G and they are doing fine, but I can see that it might be a cause of contams. I really thought they were gonna be fucked but they're like 90% colonized.

I seriously doubt it's a problem. Unless you put the sides of the lids over or into your open media. Nothing goes over anything open and you're almost always fine.

You're going to need a bigger SAB dude! The part of the lid that is under the lid should be sterile, so I would think it would be okay if they clink. Not ideal though.
G2G is where most contams get in for me. Clumbsyness is a big no no, so build a bigger SAB!
Or swith to pints for your master jars and just use quarts as recivers

Touche mush. G2gs raped more than just you because of a small sab. Myself included. Jars stir air around a lot. Hope you didn't move too much. Sounds like you did though

if you use a LFH you can have a propane torch and flame the mouth of the master like they do in real life micro labs

I used a quart jar for a master.....dropped it half way through, dropped a bunch of grain and hit 3 jars(damn alcohol covered glass and latex gloves haha). All 7 jars colonized without any contams. You should be fine.

Now this is cool! I keep a propane torch by my hood to flame my tools quick.
I would think the rim of the jar with the threads would stay pretty sterile because its under the lid but as added protection or if you accidentally touch the rim or something, cool idea man!
Do you think the flame might blow something into the jar though?
So what sort of sitution would thry be doing this in a lab for? Like in spawn labs?

Its actually pretty neat for alot of the stuff you do. I use it mostly to give the foil a quick and hot warmup right after inoculation, but you can use it for sterilizing equipment faster than with a regular burner and alot of other stuff too, works wonders:) I use this one (ebay link).

i put masking tape around the rim to cover the gap btw metal lid and glass jar, so no kind of dust gets in that crevice that gets openly exposed during g2g

You put the masking tape on when? Before PC cycle?
