What are pros and/or cons about living in a major city, small city, suburb, rural, and/or a trailer park?

in my experience, rural had way more police that were there to bust your ass for any little thing, ya know they wanna keep their precious little towns clean.

city cops were like "oh you got a grm of heroin in the car, ok pour it out and don't let me catch you down here again"

Going only by personal experience:

Major City
Pros: Lots to do; great variety for food; variety of women to pick from; easy access to everything; no need to drive to get anything important; lots of parties; generally lax policing because they had more important things to deal with; a sense of anonymity
Cons: Can feel claustrophobic or overwhelming due to people; frequently noisy; have to leave town to get back to nature

Small City
Pros: Mostly the same as a major city, but with a little less of everything; police can be super lax if you stay on their good side
Cons: Mostly the same as a major city, but with a little less of everything; did not personally experience it, but had friends complain that once a few police did not like you they would all track you; less anonymity

Suburb
Pros: Often helpful neighbours; generally more comfortable housing (a house with a yard rather than an appartment); accessibility of most things; relatively peaceful; police were comparatively friendly and gave a sense of connection to the community
Cons: Neighbours can be equally nosy; sense of privacy does not really feel complete; Often need to drive or take long-distances on public transport for more interesting things to do; pretty much no anonymity

Rural
Pros: Quiet; Often near accessible natural settings; can be far removed from neighbours; lots of space; sense of privacy; plenty of room for self-sufficiency; anonymity pretty well preserved; police generally absent
Cons: Nothing is accessible without driving; raising your own food and animals can be time consuming; Injuries can be more problematic due to lack of immediate medical attention
Neutral: Protect your own, because the police won't ever make it in time to do it for you

Trailer Park
Pros: Am having trouble thinking of any distinct pros I experienced; kind of similar to the suburbs except with more drunkenness and less peacefulness; more parties than the suburbs; most important amenities are nearby; neighbours seemed less nosy than in the suburbs and more apathetic
Cons: Do you attach social stigma to living in a trailer park? ; Have to travel for anything interesting
No real experience with police presence living in the trailer parks I did.

Small town cops are basically like small city cops, but with a tighter community and less anonymity.

Rural areas are outside of town borders though, normally police don't show up unless specifically called to location.

I can't give an accurate account of what its like to live in a major city, nor a small city, but I do have quite a bit of experience with suburbs.  I grew up in a suburb outside LA, and now I live in a suburb in South Florida.  Its a culture entirely devoted to having a family and raising children.  All my neighbors want to do is talk about their dumb, sticky-fingered kids and their minor accomplishments.  If you don't plan on having children (like myself) you can feel like an outsider.

I would argue that suburbs have the most attentive police force, and will pull you over in a heartbeat if they sense something is off.  True, they may not be as prolific as major city cops, but they usually have families of their own and are especially devoted to making the place a safer place for their children (not a bad thing).

I will also add that the homeowner's associations can be a real pain in the ass.  I appreciate their efforts to keep the neighborhood looking spiffy, but it gets a tad extreme from time to time.  For example, in my hoa, we are required to paint our house every 5 years in a painfully limited color scheme of their choosing.  We've got like four colors to choose from, but it's all pretty pointless, because they are basically the same.  We are also required to pressure wash our roofs and driveways annually, or if you have visible tire marks in your driveway.  Those expenses add up quickly.  Oh, and the garbage gestapo has also been known to do random spot checks to check if we're recycling properly.  Its insane.

All the houses look the same, and after a while, so do the people.  Everything is beige.  The houses, the cars, white people, black people... doesn't matter - all beige.  It's all 9 to 5's, PTA meetings, and soccer practice.  I will highlight one redeeming quality - there is no shortage of bored, hot horny housewives, in my neighborhood at least.  Its downright milfy here.

Major City

- Pros: Universities, Public transport, Shopping, Tourism, Pro sport, Events, Something for everyone, Hospitals, Faster emergency response time, Cultural landmarks, Museums, Nightlife

- Cons: Crime, Traffic, Drug use, Noise pollution, Garbage, Litter, Homeless peeps, Gang activity, Bad neighborhoods, High tax, Expensive housing,

Small city

- Pros: Generally cleaner than major urban centers, You know your neighbor, Cheaper housing, Lower taxes, Lower density, Better parks

- Cons: Sometimes you have to go to the city,

Suburb

- Pros: Close to the city, Calm streets, Mostly middle and upper class, generally clean, Quiet, Close to everything, You can walk without risking your life

- Cons: You have to live further and further away to afford it, You feel like a sheep among the other sheeps, All houses look the same, Small lots, Same tax as major urban center despite not being in it

Rural

- Pros: Total freedom, Nature, Space, Huge houses available for cheap, Offroad stuff, Close to a river maybe, Huge gardening potential

- Cons: Far from everything, If you have a heart attack the ambulance is only an hour and a half away, Same for cops, It can get lonely, Bears eating your garbage

Trailer park

- Pros: Very cheap housing, Cheap rent, Sense of community, Feels like camping, You can move with your house, Cha-ching for the owner

- Cons, Tight lots, Nosy neighbors, If you don't like casual conversation you are fucked, Generally filled with older people (both pro and con), Not the most luxurious environment, You have to say "I live in a trailer park"

Hmm. Interesting sweet, lady, and pat.

Also a con I can think of:

Major cities are potentially riot prone.

Big city ~ can walk or take public transit everywhere.
Suburbs, country, etc ~ can't
