I will definitely look into his current medications. Thanks big time. And I shall start with 1 gram and dose more if he's comfortable.

I'm planning a thing with my dad and uncle who are both in their mid sixties. Planning a trip to the mountains in September and should be an amazing and profound experience!

Shit I'm 24 and 2 grams can be touGh sometimes. I'd start with one and add another or more an hour or so later if you want. But hey, your choice. I may just be more sensitive, but 2 grams seems like it could be rough for a first time experience for someone that old. You know him best though. I wish you both the best of vibes

Let's just look at this scenario, one I've often considered with similar ideas about my 84 year old mother. You both take shrooms or just they do and at their age have an anxiety attack or flip out bringing on a heart attack and they die. If you've also indulged you may be in no state to help or be of use. From a legal standpoint you supplied an illegal substance the end result possibly leading to death. Your now looking at manslaughter or similar charges from blood analysis if a post Mortem is done. It gets messy, this is where my mind went considering this with my mum who I'm pretty sure wouldn't try it anyway, sounds doom and gloom but just what deterred me.

I understand the desire to make him try it without knowing, because he obviously would never try it otherwise, but slipping it into his drink? That's sketchy.

I don't know about your personal relationship with your father, but him not knowing what it is might be a detriment. I know if I was unwittingly dosed with mushrooms I just might have a panic attack. There is a lot of preparing I do before I decide to trip, I would prepare him for it. Ultimately if you go through with it, prepare him for it the best way you can! Good Vibes your way whichever route you choose.

You said your dad is going to be 100% down, obviously you know your dad more than anyone here so why ask for people's advice & then be a dick about it when it's something you don't want to hear. People that ask questions & then bitch about the advice given really annoy me...

keepsake said: My dad has never tried shrooms. He's 78, a bit weak physically but healthy mentally. I want to plan a day at a lake where we can just sit and chill and talk... and shroom. I'm thinking 3 grams each.
I don't see anything wrong with this. Personally I give people an 1/8th and up. Being stuck half tripping is the worst.

I wont tell him it's illegal. He has no idea what psychedelic mushies are. I'll just tell him it's a relaxing herbal tea that opens up the mind. I know he'd be down for it.
You really want to start off a nice bonding moment with your dad by lying to him?

I've watched one person have a seizure on a threshold dose and a couple other people freak the fuck out - also on low doses. And these people were very young and in great health.
just know that this isn't like popping an tylenol and there can be really serious repercussions.

LOL... maybe so, no offence taken. Ive done stuff in the past that's put other peoples lives on the line and thankfully no one killed. I still think about those days now and thank my lucky stars, my life could have been spent in prison, but you live and learn.
Im not saying never/don't/shouldn't do anything but roll the dice, you play the game and its nice to consider all possible outcomes. Good LUCK.
