Using Worm Tea To Hydrat Sub

Just made my second batch of worm tea, I was going to use it to hydrate the sub as oppose to adding worm casting figured I'd get more benefit using it that way. My question is should I pasteurize soil non-hydrated then hydrate it with the shit tea. Or should I hydrate than pasteurize. I'm just worried about losing the mic

I think it's pretty universally accepted that there's really no such thing as supplementing water. They get their nutrients from the substrate (which realistically shouldnt be too much) and just need the hydration. This isn't really like weed.
By all means experiment. I'd do it with distilled water vs supplemented, but I'd do A LOT of projects before making a conclusion. Better yet use isolates.

hydrate then pasteurize. I'm with mad season on the nutrient aspect, but mycelium can and will eat the microbes that die during pasteurization to gain proteins.
my buddy is on a huge worm casting trip right now, sooooo….

Nutrients not within the network of the mycelia create an unnecessary vector for contams.

aren't all the nutrients NOT captured by the mycelium at time of spawning?
the goal is to myceliate the nutrients before contaminates do.
but by definition, bulk substrates are nutrients not yet captured by the mycelium, yea?

True. But at that time it's a race against contaminants and pasteurization gives our beloved mushrooms a leg up in the race.

Bingo!

But only until full colonization. Have you ever noticed how your pasteurized casing layer has an expiration date?

I'm going to do and ISO test subject I'll let you all know how the results are based on yield and performance. I'm curious to see how it all works. Also found this new blend of soil that has humboldt forest hummus which I also am doing an iso on that to see if it performs better than the coir/verm/casting blend. Post results within the month.
