Help! Best way to deal with sidepinned Mushies
    #21869815 - 06/28/15 06:12 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

Hi,

I have some large mushrooms that are growing in the sides of my tub.

Should I dig into the substrate and pull them out, then continue on with my second flush?  Would this hurt the substrate?  Or is it best to just leave them until the last flush is completed??? Not sure what to do here...

Thanks for the advice!

Don't dig in. The best way is to wait until the top is done and harvested. Then take another tub the same size as the one your using and insert it into the mono, then flip the works over so the sub is resting on the tub you just inserted. Take off the other tub and there you have a perfectly exposed sub to harvest the side and bottom pins.

Thanks for the tip!

I did what you said, removed the plastic lining, harvested the sidegrown mushrooms and rewrapped and put back in the tub.

When it comes to initiating/setting up my second flush, I'm under the assumption that I simply keep it exposed to a 12/12 light cycle, good FAE and keep it humid.  A couple weeks more and a second flush should show - am I on the right track?

Thanks again
