we were wondering if there was a shakedown street/lot at some off site parking maybe.
hoards of people wandered across the street after the show, but our train to the hotel went the other way
do either of you two dudes know if there was an off-site lot?
There were four lots, the one right in front of the stadium stayed pretty empty.
One next to the amusement park was pretty crackin, and the golf course was seriously goin off crazy. Lot of people were partying in the Walmart parking lot but I never made it down that far.

really? maybe everyone was heading inside by the time I got there then. the main lot and the amusement park lots were ghost towns when I was walking around. it was probably like 6:30/7ish though

the fare the well shows would be PERFECT, if:
They replaced the drummers with Joe Russo, replaced Weir with the rhythm guitarist from DSO, Lesh stopped singing, and they upped the keyboard and organ in the sound mix to being more audible.
That would be AMAZING.
But I guess the Dead's gonna do what the Dead's gonna do, even if it involves off-beat drumming, rusty vocal chords, barely perceptable keys, and literal random strumming on what sounds like a squier strat.
That being said, I still plan on streaming the shows next weekend

dude, you're fucking high sheeks.
mickey heart SLAYED IT. honestly, I think the drummers put on the best part of the show during the space jam.
phil needs to stop singing, bobby needs to remember lyrics, but other than that they killed it.
I also think it's bullshit that phil and bob never hired the OG drummers to tour with them on their side projects.
and, yeah, thsoe fuckin rainbows were annoying. I like my sky grey and color-less

They were awesome during drums and space, but were really going everywhere at points during some of the other songs.
I'm sure it was awesome being there in person with the direct energy and all, but hearing the stream its super easy to nitpick all the little flubs in it and honestly at times it's just kind of aimless
I'm glad we can come to the mutual conclusion that Lesh isn't exactly sounding youthful and energetic with his singing these days though
but yea i know im being all critical but obviously i respect them all and glad theyre gettin together for these shows in any regard

Joe Russo's drumming is truly impeccable though, I'm glad he played with Furthur & Lesh nd friends nd continues to tour today with his band
Also apparently Lesh and one of the Dead drummers have beef with each other

yeah, some of it was a little sloppy, I feel you. joe russo is a better drummer bar none, but if you're gonna see the dead, I'd way rather have the OG cats playing, even if it is a little sub par.
it's hard to expect perfection from guys who are in their 60's and have eaten probably grams of crystal over their lifetimes

It's a good thing they had Trey instead of Jerry because he's a much better guitarist and singer.

yeah i agree its good that all the OG crew is together for it
pretty sure they havent eaten grams of crystal, or even 10mg each cumulative lifetime.
Robert Hunter however once ate 250mg at once though (by accident too i think)

Haha, Trey has seriously been fuckin rippin' it with these guys, really pulling the team at points
seems like there might be a few new Phish phans after these shows

I was hoping for some hologram jerry.
Beautiful show. Can't believe that rainbow/sunset. Lots of feelings that the universe was telling you something. Awesome 1969 second set. Good vibes everywhere. Got in for under face. Great friends around. Wish all shows were like that.

I said each
and idk man, i dont think they were really all too huge of acidheads as they were made out to be, they just got that name from the acid tests and rolling with the pranksters for a bit nd the fact their following was all acidheads
could def be wrong about that. they def havent eaten grams tho

I didn't mean grams each, but I think the band as a whole has eaten a ton over the last 50 years man.
they used to trip every week at the acid tests, and they said that lots of times they'd be too spun to play and just walk off stage, and that was one thing they liked about the freedom of the acid tests compared to shows.
