Is tinder worth it?

Is tinder worth it for a 32 year old male who usually (not very often at all) gets it done with wit, charm and humor rather than his looks? Or is it just going to be a worthless waste of time like all the other dating sites? The normal routine is not getting it done for me, so I need to try something different I think...

To be perfectly candid, unless you're super studly, I doubt you'll have much luck in that arena. Tinder is definitely a lady's game. We have so many sausages to choose from (at least in my area). I'm not on it any more, but when I was a-swiping I would frequently pass over 40-60 guys before I considered swiping right.
I feel like a dating website would give you more of an opportunity to play up your sparkling personality. If you're not having much luck on other sites, you may want to re-think how you present yourself. Sadly, a lot of our decision making on those sites are based entirely on your pictures. Get some flattering pictures and give it another go. Don't despair, you'll find someone eventually.

Thanks for the reply. That's basically what I thought. I probably won't waste my time on a dating website though.

I met my girlfriend through Tinder, so it worked for me, but I'm not a 32 year old male. Honestly I feel like dating services are kind of a crapshoot. If nothing else, it could be an interesting diversion. Certainly worth trying.

As a 34 year old male, I know that in my area I could probably be quite successful on tinder (we're a couple looking for another woman to join us so that makes it a little more difficult). And some women repond very well to witty guys who are good with words, so if that's you, I'd definitely give it a try. But obviously, like any dating site, it's a women's game, but there's safety in numbers. Don't let it get you down if you have to chat up 20 of them, it's part of the game.

There are two rules you have to follow for tinder to be effective:
1: Be attractive 2: Don't be ugly
All joking aside it really is a woman's game. Ive had mild success with it, some fun conversations here and there, a fuck buddy, and finally an actual date coming up with someone i'm romantically interested in. As the other poster said its a crap shoot. But the time investment is extremely small so theres not a whole lot to lose. Use some good pictures and write a clever/funny bio and you should have at least some success!

I say go for it! I met my current girlfriend on it and she's great. As the other posters have said, there's a lot of competition out there, and a lot of girls purely base their selection on looks...however every now and then you'll come across a diamond in the rough

well, i went and threw some pictures up on there, but haven't written anything yet. After three days I have two matches, one of whom I am pretty sure is a robot or something and I have gone through everyone in my area.
I consider myself extremely witty and clever, but I honestly have no Idea what to say on my profile or to someone I know absolutely nothing about for that matter. I could list all the shit i'm interested in but who cares about that?
IDK, its entertaining to flip through pictures but I don't see this going anywhere. I am not unattractive, but I don't see this as a successful platform for someone who is normally described as just "cute." It literally takes someone like half a second to decide to flip your photo.

A little text goes a long way and make sure your pictures are the best you can get. Have some female friends pick your best pictures for you!

I find Tinder a complete waste of time. I did have a few matches however and some chit chat but that's about it. Overall it's a crappy app also, dreaded moment picture cropping and other bugs.

Yeah the app is really glitchy and the way it is set up is clunky leading you to swipe left accidentally often which i believe is to incentivize their premium service.
I had a couple matches with cute chicks, some good conversations and a phone number. I asked one of the gils out last night but she apparently had previous plans. I would say at this point Tinder is doing its job.
I don't know what the etiquette is in terms of restarting conversations that ended because of sleep or whatever. I kind of think if I started the initial conversation, it should be up to her to show the initiative to restart the conversation a day or two later or else I'm gonna look needy or like I have nothing better going on. IDK maybe i'm overthinking it.

You're the guy, you take the initiative. Women tend to have dozens of matches a day of they do a bit of swyping. You'll be forgotten in no time if you don't take initiative.

Ya it was pretty random. It was supposed to just be a casual encounter but we kind of just didnt stop hanging out.
