Is there any other kind of faith than blind faith?
-------------------- Republican Values: 1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you. 2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child. 3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer. 4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

I've started to have faith in the universe to take care of me if I take the necessary steps needed. It seems there's an underlying logic to the madness that pokes it's beautiful head up now and then to remind me. The universe asks something of me but it supplies me with unlimited power, knowledge, support and love. As an evolved self-replicating phenomenon we are plugged into reality directly. All life came from one point, therefore all life is one; everything came from one point, therefore everything is one. Same starting point split off to arrange itself in amazing and spectacular ways, all at once, every which way, fireworks exploding in joy and relentless enthusiasm.

I'm one of the chosen ones. But, I also look at myself thinking these thoughts, and know that although I believe it, I can step back and see that it's purely my opinion.

You definitely got me thinking yesterday. It really through me for a ride. I don't understand your quote though. After much more deliberation, I still believe there is some underlying logic to the universe and my part in it. I've been very lucky on so many occasions.

Taking leaps of faith in life is VERY IMPORTANT. In order not to live in fear you must believe in something positive more than you do in something negative and just hurl yourself in that direction.
In the swimming pool I practice this by standing on the edge of the pool and just letting myself fall flat, face first in four foot deep water without the slightest effort to brace myself or break the fall. Obese as I am I weigh as much as two people. Its a tremendous smack. Should I fall like that on the ground it could kill me.
SPLASH! Hurts but, nothing bad. I hit the bottom. I emerge victorious.
Thats a leap of faith right there that the Universe isnt going to kill me outright, a triumph over my fear.
I did the same, backward falling but I'm not yet ready for that.
Meanwhile the kids in the pool shout "bombs away!" when I make that splash. They themselves dive headfirst, make double flipp jumps and all that. Sure they are much smaller bodied thus its safer for them but.. They have not learned how to FEAR LIFE. As they grow up their brains will develop and they realize that what they are doing can be very risky. And the more afraid you are the more dangerous it becomes.
I used to hide from life, took few leaps of faith and fear just consumed me for any and all reasons.
I'm busting that wide open with my trips too, I don't take serious risks but my mind, me oh my they are 24 hour no sleep marathons of surrender, surrender, surrender, a frenzy of everything I love and everything I fear. I suffer greatly but I always emerge victorious.
Last weeks trip, the one with the peculiar global announcement, was my Thumbprint, and thats LITERALLY how intense it was. At those dosages MXE goes fullblown PCP. Everything came apart to the core. This is a week after, I feel great but, still coming down.
Dont worry I will never push the envelope this hard again as for dosage. What It did, it was ENOUGH.
My leaps of faith will take other directions. For now, sobriety.
But take your leaps of faith guys, and take then in blind faith BUT, in a calculated way. Don't do stupid stuff. Don't take your leap of faith off a cliff. The Universe helps those who help themselves.

You call it faith even though you know you won't die.. In your mind you have evidence that falling into a pool will not kill you, so you do it. That is just knowing your limits. Your example of falling into a pool is not faith because you understand already that your likely hood or injury or death is minimal. You have evidence that what you are doing is safe.
A leap of faith is jumping off a cliff and hoping god will save you, as we know, survival isn't common for such leaps and survivability is down to statistical probability of what body part you land on and how evenly the pressure is dispersed around your body.
You don't have to fear life to be able to use common sense and judgement not to do stupid things.

No, falling safely into water is proof of universal consciousness and afterlife.
