Tin Tray Questions

Hey, Ive got 4 trays, 2 are Treasure Coast and 2 are Illusion Weavers. I used Pftek then smashed up the substrate and mixed it with pasteurized coir.
Would it be wise to mix it up? as you would a WBS jar? or perhaps case it with more coir?

you mixed the coir with colonized brf cakes . ussually u lay a small layer on bottom then substrate then layer on top . mixing it may delay fruiting or no fruit at all.

What?? No. You did right in mixing it. Mixing it is much better than a layer on top and bottom. No one has ever advised layering a sub in a commom situation like this. We always mix for faster colonization.
Now let them sit until they're fully colonized. How long has it been btw?
Where are you getting this info from Inked??

No you already mixed it up when you spawned it to the coir. There is no need to mix it again just let it finish colonizing.

Totally ignorant advice that should be ignored......
Mixing it will not delay fruiting, but will actually help it colonize quicker because all of the inoculation points are spread out evenly.
Layering might have been a thing in the 90s, but now we know better.

Haha I actually did the layering trek last grow and got meager results. I usually mix it all up, no casing layer. Theres a little bit of green mold in the corner of one of the trays, should I toss it or fruit it now seperately from others so that I don't contaminate the rest of them in the FC and see what I can get from it?
I used 3 4oz Jars of Substrate and 3 8oz Jars of pasteurized coir. I mixed the most progressed trays about a week ago.
