Hey guys
Now this genuinely is a mate that has this issue and not one of those moments when you go to the doctor with an issue and say it's a mate that has this issue. Lol.
My truffles have dried out fine with no mould on but my mate has got mould on his. Are they still safe to take or does he have to throw them out? I think they will be ok but wanted to check with you guys before I tell him it's ok.

-------------------- But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow That it's one thing to try and another to fly You get there quicker just a step at a time It's one thing to bark, another to bite The show ain't over till you pack up at night

Before he takes them, he'll be drying them right out until rock hard and then crush/powder them up and put them in chocolate or orange juice.

Sclerotia are still a living organism when you harvest/receive them. They will grow new mycelium and get a white fuzzy look to them. This is harmless and will wipe/wash right off. If you think it's mold then wash them well before consuming. No worries. They are fine.

Well my mate has given them to me to deal with cause he dont wanna risk it. Quite gladly I took them from him.
I have rinsed them out a bit, pat dried them with a towel and have placed them in the airing cupboard on some newspaper.
How long do they usually take to dry completely out???
