I am using the poormans fruiting chamber. Has anyone else used that? I am I really supposed to only fan twice a day? It seems like they won't get enough air that way. I have 2 more jars that aren't ready yet.

Poormans pod is a terrible fruiting chamber and has not been recommended for use in a decade. You are correct, they do not provide proper fresh air exchange (FAE). Unfortunatly fanning is not a replacement for FAE either. Today most people fruit cakes in a Shotgun Fruiting Chamber or SGFC. Bulk is typically done either in trays in greenhouse or sgfc or else as a very large substrate in a monotub.

I suggest ditching the PMP and building a proper SGFC asap.

So I can move them into a sgfc now? I've got 2 more cakes that I was going to put in the sgfc but this was kinda an experiment since I have read people fruiting them in ziploc bags and all kinds of weird stuff.

If you only have 2 cakes go ahead and use the SGFC.

Never fruit in a bag; it can work, but is never ideal.

In all honesty cubes are very hardy. You could fruit them in your kitchen garbage. But you will see a better yield with a proper setup. Don't toss your time invested due to laziness. Put em in the sgfc

I was speaking more generally.  Many people see fruiting in bags etc as easier. Wasn't really directed at you. Good luck.

Sorry. I mean if it hasn't been recommended in ten years take it off the website!I'm leaving those 2 in there to see what happens. The other 2 I will put in the sgfc. And the 3 that I am going to inoculate in a couple days. It's an experiment!

Well removing stuff doesn't really happen much. Once something is on the forum it usually stays unless admins or mods do something.  If its on the main page I can try to get rid of it.

Your best when researching is to search the board here. Click the box to filter results by TC's and narrow results for information posted in the last 5 years or so. That will ensure your getting better info.

Yeah removing people's threads just because we don't agree with how they grow is a really bad way to run a cultivation forum.  That stuff is preserved in history here.pretty much forever.

Just don't read stuff that's 10 years old unless you wanna go an adventure through history.
