Approaching the last of my cubensis grows for awhile, but first...."StarGazers"
As usual I'm going with the 18gallon "roughneck"
4 quarts(whole oats) SG was spawned to: ·4qt cow manure/humus ·4qt Coco Coir ·1qt straw (straight out the chop shop) ·1qt Vermiculite && a handful of Gypsum Edit: forgot, I also added a cup of spent coffee grounds.

Soaking the grainss.

Alil close-up....

soak wata!!

The 18 gallon prep'd and ready to go!!

1qt.....

4 QUARTS!!!

The outcome...

3 days in..

Day 5...

Day 7...

Prepping the casing layer atm...
"Jiffy Mix" enriched with a little extra vermiculite.

140°F for 2hrs

Here we go..

Day 2 of fruiting

Day 4 of fruiting

Pinssss (day 6-7)

Day 10

Day 11

Approaching the end,

The end,

It's been fun,

Hey guys, I am very new to the mushroom world but i love them. Where. Is the best place to hunt for cubes in the lowcountry of SC? Im sure its in cow pastures, but what if I Dont have access to a pasture? Also would like to know how long the cultivation period is. I just started my first attempt a few days ago. Thanks for the help.

I just grew stargazers and they were extremely weak. But it probably had more to do with the grow itself than the spores

I heard of someone eating only 1.5g of stargazers after drinking a bit too much, then smoked some cannabis, and had complete ego loss.
I think it went a little something like this...

Terrible luck? Nahhhhh
Im accustomed to pulling 7+ounces from each 18gallon mono flush when dealin wiff cubensis.

In all actuality, this tub was just so I could burn time, while my APE, Welii, Tampenesis and Panaeolus sp. finish colonizing.

Haven't seen stargazers yet in my short 6 months growing/reading the forums. I look forward to seeing them mature for sure.
This is off topic, but what strain did you use for those on fucking point tubs in your sig? MS or an agar clone?(if you have a link to the thread you can just post that since the answers are probs in there, I'd love to look it over for some pointers. In any case fucking IMPRESSIVE!) Probably some of the best looking ones I've come across browsing so far.

They have had what they love most taken from them, be it freedom, love, money, or anything for that matter. When you lose your greatest love you also lose your greatest fear, when that happens you are completely and utterly free.

Honestly man they look like some BNN's I grew years ago. Even with great FAE the get a little squiggly and fun looking, but had caps shaped just like yours. Like ther others say- MS is a crapshoot- but I definitely recognize that look.
