I did several times: NO food of any kind except water.
I remember doing it at a sacred national park in Australia. I fisted for three days, 72 hours, without food, just reading spiritual books and bible, praying and doing magical rituals. During that time i received a lot of important spiritual wisdom.

I have, I do so as it comes naturally, as I felt understanding my connection to others, how I affect others, and so forth, was my first priority, and reaching natural health, which primarily is a result of having total faith in the health of one's body and mind.. Fasting and the rest I believe were best for me when they came around on their own; without planning. Before-hand, learning to eat only wholesome foods has been my focus, and is very worth-while, in numerable ways.
As well as fasting, there are many benefits from eating mindfully, slowly and with reverence - for the food, and while generating the energy of compassion, peace and love - to say, 'may this food be healing, strengthening, and help me grow in the best way,' or some variant of this of one's own choosing. . . the words of this are not particular - health and strength, peace and love are the essential goal of it, I would say; and the words are also only the outward appearance of it - the way one eats - the energy one cultivates - is what's important, and like other things, this type of practice becomes more and more natural, until the words fall away.
By the way, as a feat, that is impressive. Oh also, though I said, 'may this help me grow in the best way,' it is common, among some of us, to also connect it to the well-being of others; 'may I grow in the best way, so that I may. . . [serve others, serve earth, serve God, etc.]'

My academic advisor from my doctoral program used to come to a health ranch in Lake Worth, FL in his mid 60s with his wife and do a 10 day distilled water fast. Remarkable. But, I bet they would've gotten a LOT more from just one mushroom trip on 3.5 gms P. cubensis. However, he was a Jungian analyst, and those people eschewed psychedelics. I used to water-fast for 2-3 days in my youth, and it DID raise consciousness.

YUP. Ive done two seperate 3 day just water fast, at my house. It helps if your in a relaxing environment. It did not seem that spiritual for me. But it did feel great after words. I had a lot more energy and felt like a load was taken off of me. Definitely something I will try again when I have the time. Good luck.

I used to fast a couple times a week for a few months.
I'd drink water so not a true fast, but no food.
it was really nice being able to recognize hunger as a craving of the body, and gaining control over the sensation, instead of being a slave to it.
I felt really light and clean as well.
i think it's a good practice to do here and there.

Back in my Christian days I did a five day water fast in order to experience god, receive direction etc. It was terribly unproductive. I remember my brother microwaving popcorn and when the smell of it reached me in my bedroom as I was crying out to god, I went into the living room and chewed him out for creating such a temptation for a man of god like myself. The last day of the fast I went to a Pentecostal revival type service. Everyone around me was getting really into the worship and I felt nothing, only stomach cramps. The next day I broke the fast at chikfila.
