Hello all, went out to my usual spot today, and found some of these bad boys. #2 im fairly sure are P. subs, but i just want to make sure, and #1 are some interesting specimens i found, they had quiet blue stems when I picked them, so i thought i'd bring some back and see what I have on my hands
Habitat: woodland, Victorian state park, grew on dirt, near fallen down trees, on bark
Gills: #1 - orangy/pinky/brown (sorry, im slightly colour blind, hopefully the pics give a bit clearer description of the colour) #2 - brown/sandy
Stem: Length #1 - 2cm-6cm #2 - 3cm-10cm
color #1 - blue on picking up, turning to a grey/brown once started drying #2 - older ones were brown with slight bluing, but most were just brown
texture #1 - solid stem, quiet thick for the size #2 - breakable, hollow stem, most were medium sized stems
Cap: Diameter #1 - 1cm-4cm #2 - 3cm-7cm
color #1 - brown/grey/bluish #2 - brown, golden/sandy yellow
Spore print color: Havent collected a print yet
Bruising: #1 - as i picked from the ground the stem was already quiet a vibrant blue, no extra bruising #2 - older ones seem to have a blue tinge, smalled ones (most of them) went a darker brown
Smell #1 - didnt have any distinguishable smell #2 - strong earthy shroom smell, smells like most of the other ones i have found.
Sorry for the horrible photo quality, only had my iphone handy, Can try get better pics of something else if ID is to hard
#1

#2 overall haul

hello
i DO NOT think you have found P. subaeruginosa do not eat them.
they may be a Cortinarius sp
please wait till a Trusted Identifier confirms that they are not P. subaeruginosa

The second one looks like a cortinarius species, the purple is not bruising its the color of the mushroom. I'm not sure though , so wait for a TI.

They're similar in so far as they're both little brown mushrooms. Subs will have a more caramel coloured cap (becoming lighter coloured when dry), darker gills, whiter and more silky looking stipe, bruise blue and grow from wood chips/debris (rather than directly from soil).
